Yeah the new Toyota V8 for the New Tundra is weak has no power and the Nissan Titan is weak too and can hardly pull a push lawn mower… …

You’ve seen a tundra or titan sedan, I didnt know they made truck sedans…
Your right pete the last year Camaro’s came out in was in '02 but you can get one used for a decent price. They are also going to remake the camaro sometime around '08[/quote]
You see when you said this " anything that has chevy’s LS1. the V8 model is a decent size engine. " it sounded like you were referring to all vehicles and not just sedans or maybe I just don’t know what the correct definition of “anything” is. Also I didnt know they made Camaro sedans if you want to get technical.
You made a broad statement. Sorry if I read it wrong.
I apologize. What I meant was the LS1 is a great engine as far as power vs. price. The Chevy Corvette, Chevy Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, and I believe the Trans-am all carried the LS1. Though I’m not entirely sure on the which pontiac if not both carried it.
As far as the sedan thing, correct me if im wrong but I think the definition is a 4 door car. According to dictionary.com a 4 door crew cab truck would considered a sedan so…
I haven’t driven the tundra or titan, but I’ll vouch for nissans. I have an '06 altima with the 3.5 and a 5 speed. 250bhp and it’s fucking quick as hell. Bone stock it’s easily faster than any of the beamer 3-series (except maybe the 335s) and most the 5-series (not the 550). Doesn’t handle as well with the stock suspension (no nismo on mine) and lacking all the creature comforts and status symbol of the beamer, but ballsy as hell and fun to drive for a lot less money. I’ve owned or regularly driven toyota, jeep, dodge, VW, Chrysler, Mitsubishi, and now Nissan and it’s easily my favorite car so far (although I miss the old dodge pickup sometimes. 400+ hp to the wheels was a lot of fun).
It’s a scam. They delete them all the time. It’s always someone out of the country with a hard luck story selling a car real cheap. Or a bike. I saw 5 bogus Suzuki Hayabusa sales on ebay at one time. All had almost the same bogus hard luck sales story. All got pulled.
I think they usually come up with some reason why you should send them a cashier’s check after you make initial contact. Maybe something like his dad got a new job and can’t get free shipping any more, so he needs $500 to start the shipping process, but he’ll just knock $500 off the cost of the car. They cash the check and disappear. Doesn’t work all the time, but works often enough.
Those Camaros with the LS1 motor were fast. People were getting them into the 11’s with cam, heads, intake, exhaust. And they hooked real good. Used to run them in my 95 Cobra and got beat alot before I modified it.
Did those LS1’s have a smoking problem after they got a few miles on them? Something about the aluminum block or valves burning or something?
It’s probably a scam based out of Nigeria. Nigerian thieves recently started to use a “false flag” cover and claimed Swedish nationality.
They pulled something like this on a close friend who wanted to rent his home in the California desert upon his transfer for orders. He placed an ad in the online version of a local paper, attempting to rent his property in the high desert.
First, the renter claimed to be Swedish. My friend noticed the accent sounded tribal African.
The scam: the renter claimed he needed the landlord to accept his money order for $4800, and then the landlord pay the renter’s relocation costs to the overseas mover directly.
My friend learned that once he deposited that money order in the bank, he remained liable for that amount should the bank later determine the money order was fraudulent.
Accordingly, my friend would pay cash to the overseas mover, obviously a cohort of the renter, and then my friend would later find he deposited a worthless money order and never receive reimbursement for the $4800.
Not long ago, I think USA Today ran a cover story on the cons run from Nigera. This is huge problem. Nigeria has many educated people but a crippling unemployment rate. The FBI went so far as to assign a special anti-fraud unit in Lagos, Nigeria permanently.
I had someone attempt to pull this BS on me once. I found a possible solution. I required that they first provide verification of ID from the local US Embassy/Consulate. Whenever I demand this, the con artists disappear. I’ve worked overseas before. I found the US Embassies and Consulate to be very supportive of Americans and our business transactions.

The new Tundra will be on the lots in January and February and have a badass new V8. That thing will pull damn near anything from what I have read. And as for the Titan they had issues the first two years but have it dialed in now and will pull like you wouldnt believe. The big 3 aren’t the only ones who can pull big loads now and are probably shittin their britches.
As for your Altima with the 3.5 V6. Thats a very good engine. I drove a 2007 Infiniti G35x Sedan which also has Nissan’s 3.5 Litre and that car was wicked fast and handled awesome. I believe it had 306 HP. Sweet Car.
Yeah pete, thanks for giving the camaro respect. They rock for what you pay for them. Stock 1/4 mile is somewhere in the 13’s. Though I really want one those corvette z06’s.
Tailrash funny you should mention the G35, as my father owns one. It is fast, but lacks a bit on the torque. You also have to get a bit higher in RPM’s to hit the sweet spot so to speak. You should test drive a real muscle car.

hmm, my neighbor owns a toyota dealership, I’ll have to go check out the new tundra. Yeah, the inifiniti G35 is basically a nicer version of the Nissan skyline (not sold in the US yet). They put the VQ35DE engine in pretty much everything except the sentra and the titan. It’s been on the Wards 10 best engines list since 2002, and the VQ series is the only series of engines to be on the list every year since the list’s inception (like 12 straight years). Mine’s still bone stock, but I’m itching to make a few modifications (probably not til spring, too bloody cold out now). I’m excited to see what it can do with a bit less restrictive itake and exhaust. Considering building a turbo kit for it, but that’ll probably wait until it’s a few years older.

Swamp, which model does your father have? awd or the auto tranny make it a bit sluggish. But yeah, I’ll agree with you that the VQ does perform a lot better in the higher rpm range. It took me a while to get used to after I made the switch from my old dodge (5.9L, custom intake, exhaust, cams, and a few other goodies, puttin down somewhere over 400hp to the rear wheels). The nissan’s faster, but just doesn’t drive like that big V8 (which would set off house alarms if I gunned it in a neighborhood). On the other hand, I can now afford to fill up my gas tank on a regular basis. The truck was lucky to get 12mpg, altima get’s around 22 average.

Look in my pics. I know all about the G35 Sport. And I also know that unless he has an 07 sedan then he does not have the new engine. That spot where it used to lack is now there. Yeah 268 lb-ft torque is weak in a car that weighs so little.
Secondly I mentioned the G because of m0dd3r’s post about the Nissan 3.5 Liter engine. I didn’t bring it up to take anything away from your beloved Camaro. But hey, Way to go!
Now quit posting dumb comments so I can find a real muscle care to test drive. jk

The new AWD will surprise you being that it is only AWD when it needs it. The high end acceleration is now there.
Yeah considering 3500LB’s is a light car…Just because its a 6 cylinder doesnt mean its light, nor do I mean to say its slow. The G35 is fast, I know because I’ve driven it.
The reason I said do youself a favore and drive a real muscle car is because there is a difference. To appreciate the difference you gotta drive the car.
I dont mean to say that anything with less than 8 Cylinders isn’t a ‘real’ car, or to say it cant go fast. I just want to point out and make you aware, there is a difference between a 5.7 Liter engine and a 3.5 Liter.
Though personaly, I am biased towards my bigger engines.
I just purchased a 2007 G35x but in auto transmission. I have to tell you, AWD in the Canadian winter is a godsend, but on drive pavement, its a RWD unless you spin the tires (next to impossible).
Its a RWD car by nature, but converts torque to 50:50 when necessary, so launches are still RWD.
Fast as hell. And the 2007 exterior and interior looks so much nicer than the 06, all based on Japaqnese swords. The interior even has mock rice paper.

That new interior is nice isn’t it? The front end looks awesome as well. I am looking at that and the M35x for my wife right now. If the payments falls right it will be the M35x because its a bigger vehicle.

Dude, I wasn’t born yesterday. I’ve driven V8’s, actually I currently have one.
