Subq daily. Not sure if I’d want to do IM daily. Scar tissue and all, though that may be more hype than actual concern?
I’m actually feeling better on this protocol than I ever have on TRT, though I still have a day here and there thats not so great. For the most part though, pretty good.
I am of the opinion that it is hype. Maybe if you are using a harpoon for daily injections, but with slin pins, I don’t think it is much concern. I do delts 3X a week, and the biggest thing is that I hit veins sometimes. I can feel a difference (hurts in a certain way when I get a vein), and pull it out, and usually get a drop of blood. I then just re-pin in a spot close by.
FWIW, the delts hurt a good amount when I first started pinning them. Now I get basically no pip, and I am on a blast right now (0.8 mL of 250 mg/mL test E 3X a week). First week of the blast I figured I would do delts on M,F, and a subQ belly shot on W, the subQ shot was a mistake. It hurt for about a week and a half. Now I am sticking with delts.
Mix them in maybe? Do IM one day and SQ the next, if you’re not ready to go all IM daily. I just switched to daily from EOD and not wild about it, but does feel better
IM in the hip… EOD. If you want to try an experiment after this to see if you can feel any improvement, that’s what I’d convince you to do (precisely what I’m currently doing actually).
My guess is you’re not absorbing subq very much. You don’t want to do daily IM. You’d probably do EOD IM. I’m doing that with no issue.
I can definitely feel ya there. My first year on TRT I did M,W,F IM and rotated Quads, Delts, and Glutes. One week the right side, the next week the left. Sometimes the injection went smooth, sometimes it just hurt like hell!! LOL
This actually sounds like something I’d be willing to try. Do you have a diagram or could you explain exactly the location for “hip” injections? Curious…
That’s where I’m at for now with the changes. I hate the stabilization periods!!
I’m leaning toward waiting to see what the consult yields in two weeks. If Dr. Saya vies for another increase, I may just try switching with the same dose to EOD IM and see what that does.
Am I an outlier in that I don’t notice much when I change a protocol? I am only dealing with T nowadays (no AI or HCG). People talk about this stabilization period like it is a time of emotional crying, and such. Never experience this.
I would think yes. I meant trying EOD IM with SQ in between as a way to transition to daily IM, since you said you didn’t like that idea. Maybe mixing it up would be enough to help with symptoms.
OK don’t laugh at the pic because I couldn’t find anything online so was forced to grab a photo of an underwear model and just draw a circle. This is where I currently inject EOD and I just swap sides each time I inject. Easy and painless.
It’s generally not that bad for me to be honest, unless I’m making a big change. Its more pronounced when the change is big and the dosage is reduced. When that happens I just have to deal with anxiety intermittently. I don’t know why, but I’ll start having a racing heart beat and I’ll get lightheaded on some injections during that period.
I’ll tell myself that it’s stupid and start taking slow deep breaths. That usually calms it down after a few minutes and then I’m good, but like I said, when I go way down all at once I have to deal with that shit for a few weeks.
Go and get another round of labs done to be sure. Something isn’t right. I wouldn’t make changes just yet if it were me. That said sub-q didn’t do anything for me even with 2000 total T levels. The same dose but IM was a drastic positive change but took a while before those changes were felt.
I agree, but that being said, my labs typically show this same trend. At .12 (24mg) daily I was in the low 500’s with a FT of around 21. This doesn’t seem out of whack with MY norm, but it’s definitely out of whack with whats normal for everyone else.
Oh ok I wasn’t aware there were previous tests that these results align with. Sounds like you may need a larger dose than most to get adequate levels assuming you don’t feel ideal at the current dose.
Is there not a hip bone there or something? I feel like I’d hit something injecting there. May have to watch a video on it. I’m tired of sticking delts so may try it out
The trick is… Lift your leg up laterally and you will feel a muscle bulging. You can inject anywhere in or around that muscle. It’s easy to feel where bone is. Once you try it you’ll see what I mean.
