Got my DHT finally tested and it doesn’t seem to correlate with the other hormone values. I mean it’s normal range high, but the other results are way higher. What could be causing this? I hear dht should be 10% of total testosterone.
Guys need some feedback from the thyroid experts please.
Here are my thyroid lab results, rt3 is off the charts!
(I know this can be affected by dieting and heavy calorie restriction which I’m currently doing, losing about 15 lbs of fat in 2 months on the ephedrine caffeine stack)
Only strange symptoms I have is really cold feet once in a while (but I haven’t nailed it down yet if this is caused by low ferritin or fairly High E2 also)
Please note the reference ranges and units of measurement are Canadian
TSH - 1.04 mIU/L range 0.32 - 4.00 mIU/L
FT4 - 15 pmol/L range 9 - 19 pmol/L
FT3 - 3.2 pmol/L range 2.6 - 5.8 pmol/L
RT3 - 31 ng/dl range 8 - 25 ng/dl
I have similar values. Mine is FT3 is 2.8 ng/l scale one 2 - 4.4
! I’ve consulted an expert doctor and according to him I can try to supplement dessicated thyroid to see how I will feel. Bear in mind you want your FT3 at the top of the scale. Also your TSH is almost perfect so you have no issue with FT4 but the conversion to FT3. Instead of FT3 a lot of your FT4 is converted to RT3. This may point to gut issues.
Try to fix your diet first, also eat 3-4 Brazil Nuts every day(no more, no less) and started eating a lot of salt with iodine. You can also consider dessicated thyroid.
You don’t have to be a thyroid expert to see a problem, the Free T3 to Reverse T3 ratios are no good. You have a conversion disorder being caused by an unknown cause, it could be anything, a chemical in your environment and/or a certain food causing stress within your body.
Gut issues is as big one, something a know firsthand,. Gut issues could be causing all kinds of mineral deficiencies. When iron is low your body receives less oxygen, ferritin is a better indication of iron status. Your body pulls iron from ferritin (iron storage) when needed.
I would also suggest you dont listen to a user named @dbossa if he comes here, that guy bans people on the facebook TRT forum, cause they dont agree with them on here. He even banned me, cause I said 800mg of testosterone a week could be dangerous long term. That guy has really lost it at this point, and I have like 20 friends reading this forum asking themselves what the F is up with that guy.
Your hurt his feelings by not agreeing with him which just shows you he has simple small mind that can’t see others viewpoints, these guys have no critical reasoning which is why I gave up on him long ago.
I see other members making strong arguments which just gets disregarded because he is unable to make a good counter argument, he just reverts to default that high estrogen is good for you.
The truth is it can be dangerous, it all depends on the person.
Yes, he got banned on excelforum when he did the same thing. Ive seen many posts on here by him, and every time he gets counter arguments, he starts calling the person an idiot.
He also banned a friend of mine from that group, cause he questioning his anti-AI stuff, with very good legitimate questions, and some studies. He just banned him, and blocked him.
That’s because he follows someone else’s position, when you call him out on it he doesn’t know how to respond because he doesn’t understand how that other person got to these ideas, he lacks full understanding what he is talking about.
