Asked PCP for Full Thyroid Panel and it came back incomplete …shocker! No RT3 and no FT3. SMH. With what I got any advice would be appreciated. Been on TRT for 5 months now at 160mg a week (Mon/Thurs 80mg each). Feeling good for the most part.
TSH 1.94 (0.40-4.50 mlu/l)
T3 Uptake 38 (22-35%)
T4 Total 7.8 (4.9-10.5mcd/gl)
Free T4 3.0 (1.4-3.8)
I don’t think your problem is thyroid related, you just need to start more frequent dosing.
I think it’s incredibly stupid to not check the active free hormones when checking thyroid status, but I think the problem is doctors are taught a certain way in medical school and it’s hard to change from how you were taught.
Thanks brother @systemlord. Just started ED injections … tomorrow will be a week. Whats interesting is I did mini labs a few weeks ago on my own thru Quest and my TT came back at 950. Went to my PCP last week and did labs, also thru quest and my TT came back at 1200. I even skipped a shot so my doctor wouldn’t have a connipshit … crazy.
Whats also interesting are the ranges for Quest. Both bloods were drawn with quest but when I did it on my own TT ranges were 250-1100. Thru my PCP ranges are 250-827. Why is that?
If you didn’t reduce your dosage when switching to a daily protocol, your doctor with have a heart attack the next blood draw because your levels will be insanely high.
