I know we’ve had our back and forth about the whole keto thing, but I had NO IDEA you were having those hypoglycemia issues back in August. I’m so glad for you that this style of eating has gotten that under control for you.
Keep those lipids in check brother and stick with it.
I know a great deal about dieting and generally run a keto based diet while cutting.
How is your sleep on zero carb? I find it hard to stay asleep, and I always have wondered if it’s lowered blood sugar/cortisol spike early morning (appx 3am).
I have a very difficult time staying asleep at night. I typically wake up unprovoked around 2am and wander the house until pass out in the spare bedroom till 4am then start my day.
Its been going on since I cut carbs. We have not gone down this path but I am familiar with the compounds and their use. I actually bought a magnesium supplement earlier this week and havent taken it yet.
I’ve seen people mention fat bombs and/or some sort of slow carbs before bed to help with sleep if needed. I don’t know shit about it, figured I’d share what I’ve read though
As a connoisseur of eye masks I’ve found the very best out there. I know initial reaction is you don’t need one but you wouldn’t believe how much better your sleep is. This one is the absolute best by a mile. I heard Ben Greenfield talk about it on a podcast and he was so right.
I have had issues staying asleep for years or even sleeping.
I started pharmacy grade melatonin and now take 6mg every night. I got pharmacy grade magnesium glycinate and Theanine. These three put me to sleep and I stay asleep and I don’t wake up 2-3 times a night. I still do occasionally, but overall I sleep so much better now.

Everyone will have a different experience but I’ll tell you mine. When I started daily shots I did sub-q. About 4-5 months in I wasn’t even sure if it was working or if I was doing it right. Got labs done and total T was 2000 so it was definitely working. Later on I switched to daily IM. The only real difference is I can somewhat feel the T kicking in on IM and I prefer that. Sub-q is really smooth and IM has a little tiny kick in. They both work great and you’ll be happy with either way. With sub-q the only negative is you get little lumps in the stomach area. They may be noticeable if you are super lean but they go away fairly quickly so they don’t really matter.
Thanks man. Seen your posts about this before and really value your opinion/experience feedback. Glad to know both worked for you, gonna try sub-q first and see what happens.
Thus far ive been doing shallow im with 1/2" 27 gauge insulin needles. At first I didnt notice any pip bit the past couple days ive been feeling like I got slugged in both legs. I’m definitely gonna try and add sub q as its been a while since I did any that way. So far so good. I’m feeling good. Ive been noticing an uptick in aggressive behavior in this protocol. Wasnt really anticipating that but I’m running 25 mg per day anavar as well. Maybe the mix of the 2. Last time I ran anavar I didnt have these issues.
So quick update! My little experiment with Testosterone Propionate and Anavar is coming to an end. It was fun and an interesting process. I do have needle fatigue from the daily injections and I’m looking forward to getting back on my old schedule. I weighed in last night before bed at a whopping 190 lbs. Woke up at 187.6. I’m steadily climbing but the past couple days have felt bloated and unhappy. Honestly I feel I was more shredded before this experiment. I wasn’t even really expecting to gain weight on this protocol. Just wanted to see how cut I could get so epic fail on my part. You live you learn I guess. I’m gonna try and see my doc soon and shortly after will start a legit bulking cycle. I’m thinking Test E and Eq. I’m gonna let the diet do most of the work.
