Bloodwork: Low Test, Low Estrogen

Original comment -

"Had a Dr appointment today that went tragically wrong. Having a difficult time keeping an erection. Urologist wanted to to a penile doppler ultrasound. He gave me a shot of Trimix and in his words, said it was a “heavy dose” because he wanted it to work. 10 minutes later, no response - he gives me another dose of Trimix…15 minutes later, still don’t have the expected response, but good enough for the ultrasound…great, get it done. Things look “borderline” but are “statistically” ok…ugh.

We’re talking after and he thinks I should stop testosterone for 1 week, to give my androgen receptors a rest and start back up to see if I get that old feeling I had 4 months ago back…that was the first blow.

Second, I get in my car and start driving home and Boom, two doses of Trimix kick in…super painful erection immediately. I don’t think much of it, drive home and beg my sick wife for sex…she’s too sick, I snap the carrot - no relief.

3+ hours later still with a painful erection, I had to go back to the Dr’s office - got 4+ ounces of blood drawn out of my penis to relieve the pressure, then he gave me meds to counteract the Trimix. Tells me he doesn’t think I’ve suffered any damage and it was good I came back when I did. I hope my pecker isn’t more broke now than it already was…I don’t know what I’ll do. "

@finkle_is_einhorn These were my thyroid numbers:

TSH - 3.53 uIU/ML (0.400 - 4.100)
T3 Total - 0.91 ng/ml (0.80 - 2.00)
T4 Total - 5.3 MCG/DL (4.5 - 11.7)
TRIIODOTHYRONINE, REVERSE - 14.3 ng/dl (9.0 - 27.0)

T4 is the total thyroid hormones being produced before converting to free hormones such as fT3, and fT4, T4 is low and needs to be midrange and explains higher TSH.

Thanks @systemlord for commenting, I appreciate it.

Doctor prescribed 90mg of armour thyroid, which I’ve been taking for a week. Nothing major to report at the moment, but I’m giving it time…

@roscoe88

did you get the desire part dialed in yet? from what little i have read our paths seems very similar

Damn that sounds horrible @bcostigan41

hope things get fixed in a hurry

@alldayeveryday

could you tell a significant difference between 120 and 160 per week?

outside of acne was there an unexpected sides? Did energy / libido/ focus go up with higher dose?

To be honest no. I feel pretty much the same at 120 and 160.

@alldayeveryday

interesting. i figured from a “feel” standpoint that would be significant

  • how long have you been on TRT?
  • do you stack any other anabolics on top if the trt

I started trt in January of 2018 so 14 months. I’ve never added anything to trt. I’ve played with my test dose and that’s it. I will have my hands on some masteron shortly and I plan on running a cruise with trt level testosterone and masteron. I’ve seen numerous people who swear by the combo so I want to try it.

Did you do CBC’s with this blood test? How thick is your blood getting? With Free T in range you should have no issues. I have had problems trying to run Free T in the 30’s year round. For me that’s 150mg/wk.
I can’t keep my blood thin enough. I have now switched to low dose T when crusing(80-100) and blasting(300-500) twice a year. It seems to keep my blood in better condition.

I didnt run cbc this time. I have on every other blood draw and I’ve never seen it go over 46% HCT. Pre trt it was 41%. It has never been a concern.

If that is the case 160/wk should feel pretty good.
Just keep an eye on your blood pressure. That is a great check if your blood starts thickening.
When I hit 52% HCT my pressure goes up 10 point top and bottom. I then can either donate or drop my dose. My ferritin deside which I can do.

You know your E2 will also go up. So be ready for that. If you are going to run your E2 over range you might consider adding prolactin to your bloods. Over range E2 and over range prolactin for an extended period of time is real gyno Territory.

Like TRT, thyroid medications take 6 weeks to build up in your blood before stabilizing. It’s a relief to see your doctor taking action on thyroid treatment.

whats the perk of stacking masteron? why do they swear by it

You may benefit from getting some low resistance bands and doing some therapy type exercises (the kind you see baseball pitchers doing near the dugout between innings). I used to have terrible shoulder pain from going too heavy on Bench Press along with improper form. Lowered the weight for about 8 weeks and did slow controlled reps, and started adding band exercises for shoulders between warmup sets. Also, get a lacrosse ball. Raise your arm over your head and put the ball on the head of the delt, then pin it between there and a wall. Use your body to move the ball atound the shoulder muscles using a decent amount of pressure.

Once I started adding these things, shoulder pain vanished.

Nope. Not yet.

My shbg is on the lower side so I think my e2 needs to be a bit lower. So I’m experimenting.

So is the ball in the front near coller bone or the back

It’s usually in the outside of the shoulder. It’s hard to explain but I’ll try lol.

Stand with your side (whichever one you’re having issues with) towards the wall. Raise your arm above your head, then put your hand behind your neck. Take your other hand and reach over while in this position and you should be able to feel all three delt heads and feel the indentation at the top of the shoulder. Put the ball close to this indention and the roll it out onto the muscle head. Then you hold that and move closer to the wall to pin the ball there. You may have to turn your back a little to get the proper angle. Once you have the ball pinned there you can make small circles against the wall to massage the muscle with the ball. Try to work it around more on the middle and rear muscle heads. That rear head is usually the one that you feel the most.

The idea is to stimulate blood flow to the area which will not only loosen up the joint, but help heal damage.

Ball goes near 1, 2 or 3. Or none lol
