Blood Thinner on TRT - Advice Please :)

Hi guys,

I’ve been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for a year. However, I recently had a last-minute surgery on my femur, and I can’t bear weight right now. They’ve prescribed me 25 days of blood thinners (enoxaparin). Do you think it’s safe for me to continue my TRT injections while on blood thinners, or should I wait until I’ve finished the blood thinners, even if it means dealing with low testosterone levels?

It would be the same thing for someone not on TRT. TRT is testosterone, the same molecule as the one the body produces naturally.

You’re not treated any differently.

It’s not standard practice to chemically castrate men before surgery, so there’s no need for men on TRT to stop before surgery.

Great way to look at it. I’ll continue as normal then. Thank you for your reply.

I guess I’ll just need to be a little more careful when injecting due to bruising etc?
