Blasting and Corona

This is one of the biggest quealms I have about online posting/social media. Aside from the fact that I sometimes feel I share too much on here to the point wherein I could be putting myself at risk… Being behind a screen tends to create a sense of disinhibition, a sense of security wherein one would say things they otherwise wouldn’t say to another in person.

Perhaps some are more sensitive than others. I for one admit when people speak within a very rude/harsh tone to me online it DOES hurt my feelings. Just think about how others will feel in response to your posts.

Admittedly I’m not as calm as I used to be, nor am I was prone to letting others walk all over me as I’ve found being too nice can backfire, people take advantage. There’s a time and a place for getting agressive… I don’t believe this is the appropriate time. Perhaps I’m wrong.

In a time such as this I believe it is pivotal we maintain a decent sense of community, comradery between members.

My posts do tend to be rather emotionally blunt, thus there have been times wherein people misconstrue my posts as being passive agressive, arrogant or condescending. If this post comes across within this fashion I apologise as this isn’t my intention.

Not saying they don’t, what does that have to do with anything? You fail to amke any point at all here. It is a typically stupid post from you.

No, it means you are incapable of coherent communication. You not only didn’t say anything, you were seemingly saying nothing at random. As in it had nothing to do with anything in my post.

No, actually, that’s not what you’re doing. I did not say anything incorrect or minimize the current risk. You throw out some goofy video as if you are in a position of authority and here to educate, which again is typical of your posts. You ask clueless questions and the post responses as if you think that you know something. You don’t. You can’t even manage a coherent sentence that makes a point. You’re completely daft AND ignorant of the fact that you are an idiot.

Is it truly scary that the entire human race could get wiped out? Or is it the normal course of events since the beginning of time, every lifeform has it’s time and then it’s time for it to die out and another take it’s place.

What makes humans so important? They mostly are a parasite of this planet and only cause damage and death for all of the other species, not to mention the creation of horrible chemicals that have polluted most of the water on the entire planet. Maybe it would be a great service to the earth if humanity was wiped out.

Let the cockroaches rise!!

Agreed on all points (including the destructive nature of humanity)… does this mean I shouldn’t be petrified of a prospect in which we are wiped out? Neurologically I’m built to ensure I survive, as most living organisms are… thus the thought of mass extinction is terrifying. I have family, friends etc of whom I love/like, the thought of me never being able to see them again scares the shit out of me. Yesterday I hardly got out of bed (quite anxious… it’s crippling me)

Don’t you think it’d be our highly intelligent specimens that make up the next civilised society (octopus, ape etc)

I don’t like the notion that humans are parasites at all. We are the only species that can control their instincts which is by far not the only thing that makes us worth being here.

And a PhD in virology? I know a few professors in virology and spoke to them as well as a microbiologist (bacteria) and you gotta understand that they are specialized in their area of research. All they know about Covid is from research of the people who research exactly this too. They talk to colleagues yes, and they have a generell understanding how viruses function, which goes way beyond “DNA and some proteins”. But it’s not necessary at all to have a PhD in virology to discuss this.
Besides, I’m sure a few guys here studied medicine, pharmacy or biology or are generally intelligent enough to read up on Covid.
