I find those comments odd. If you got help, did you really get the rep? How do you know how much force they applied, so you can monitor progress? And a spot for DB’s seems silly: can’t you just drop the DBs?
I personally find it irritating when another person decides to “help” with my lifting. I want to know if I alone could do it, not if I could do it with some arbitrary & unknown amount of help.
To each his own, I guess.

With the 255, he didnt give me that much help, just wanted to get a forced rep in. Same with the Incline DB’s, I got all 6 bye myself. Im not gonna just give up if I still have some energy to do atleast another half of a rep.
Knee is still fucked up, hasnt got any better in the last few days due to the fact that ive been walking on it alot.
Really hoping I didnt tear something.

Front Raises w/ 25 lbs. of chains:
Not to sure about this, think I did around 4 sets of 20-25.
Reverse curl:
Not to sure on these either, did like 6 sets of around 25 w/ the bar.
Put the chains at either ends of the bar today, where as I usually keep them close to the weights…feel alot better this way. Gonna move up to 140 next week. Had very strict form w/ the frist two sets of DB rows, but I started swining the weights the last set about 10 reps in.
I really want to start working on my forearms. There fairly small compared to the rest of my body.
And to update on my knee injury, bye the way things are going I cant tell if my knee is getting better or worse. I feel like such a bitch not squatting…

I have small hands, and was using a fairly large bar, it was hard to grip.
DB rows:
50’sx8
65’sx8
80’sx8
Worked out at school again. Kinda blew threw my warm-up for DB bench. I probably had about a minute rest for each set until the 85’s. Thought I woulda hit a PR today and I didnt, oh well.
Military press was hard, because for the last two sets I had to have one of the DB’s handed to me, because kicking it up hurt my knee, so I was basically holding it there for 3 seconds before the set started. Finished everything off with some back and shrugs.
Kinda bored latley with only lifting 2x a week because of my knee, thinkin about changing it to 3 upper body days?
Monday:
ME Bench+back
Wednesday:
Shoulders+biceps
Friday:
DE or RE bench+back
Or should I make a back day on Wednesday instead of the shoulders, and work them in with bench?
12-20-08 ME bench day:
Paused Flat bench:
135x10
135x7
185x3
205x3
225x4(dropped goin for 5)
225x3
215x4(didnt pause last rep)
205x5
Incline CG:
115x5
135x5
150x5
165x4
Then did a few drop sets

155x5
165x5
185x4-PR-(rested a few seconds and did another 2)
DB rows:
80’sx12
80’sx10
80’sx10
80’sx10
Reverse curl:
barx12
55x10
65x10
Today’s session took about an hour and 45 mins. Did alot of bench, first bench workout pausing on all the sets. First time doing incline CG, they hit my tris really well, gonna stick with them for a while.
BB rows were tuff, was able to hit a PR. DB rows were also very tuff. Finished the day with reverse curls.
Also,
The past few workouts Ive been gripping the BB and DB’s alot harder. As Dave tate sais to try and “Rip apart the bar”. My forearms have been getting a better workout, and the weights seem to move alot smoother.
Knee update: I think ill be ready to squat around mid january. I’ve been icing it every night and that seems to be helping it out alot.
12-23-08 DE bench day:
I did two sets today with 135 and 50 lbs. of chains. After that I dropped the chain weight to 20 lbs. per side, because the bar wasnt moving as fast as I wanted to. In total I did 10 sets of 3.
Then I did Military press, which went like this
115x5
125x5
115x6
then DB rows:
80’s x10
Then some more MP’s:
115x7
then some more rows:
80’sx12
It basically went like this for about 3 more sets of each.
I had no energy today, the bar moved slow today, and my shoulders were killing me. No real motivation at all. The first set of MP went horrible, the bar was super slow and I barely locked out the last rep. I did two more sets and said fuck it, and did some super setted DB rows, followed bye more MP.
Got 3 sets of bands today, Mini, Light and Average. Not sure if I have the setup to use them at my house or not, my power rack isnt bolted down, and my DB’s arent heavy enough. So I might have to weight to use them at my high school weightroom, which opens back up January 6th.

Yea they cost about $80 dollars. They’re not cheap, but theyll definitley be worth it. I actually have to make a correction, I bought Micro mini bands, no plain mini’s, they only cost $3.75, maybe you could buy a pair of those for right now?
My diet has been absolute shit latley. My mom has been ordering pizza for the last 2 weeks for dinner, I have no idea why.
And theres basically no food in my house due to the money weve been spending on christmas.
Hopefully I can save a shit load of food from christmas tommorow, and have a good lift on saturday!

I eat pizza all the time. It’s the secret to a huge DL.
Ate like a king today. Chicken, meatballs, burgers, the works. Weighed in at 222.5, gettin a littly flabby, but I dont give a shit.
Anyway, debating on wether to do RE dumbell work w/ a mini band behind back for tommorow. Any thoughts?
here’s something I did recently on ME bench day…
down set @ 135 lbs
to chest…x14
1 brd…x6
2 brd…x6
3 brd…x6
4 brd…x7 or 8
time between sets was only enough to rack and change board/s.
give it a try , it was a blast . not sure it accomplished anything other than a good jolt , but it sure was fun .
I’ll probably do it again on next de-load week
