I had to add:
I always loved between seasons when we’re supposed to gain weight and be scared to move an inch outside the weight room/ track so we’d just eat pizza and watch movies - “I have to do this; I’m an athlete!”

I remember making extensive use of frozen pizzas as my pre-pre-pre training meal.

Pizza for the slow digesting carbs, followed by a ribeye for the slow digesting fats and protein, and then of course pop-tarts for the fast acting carbs right before the workout, followed by breakfast cereal post workout for the fast carbs and insulin spike.

Ha! I used to convince myself sausage pizza was hitting all the food groups and was the most appropriate “bodybuilding” meal!

I ate nothing but chicken tenders out of my college quick stop restaurant (in between massive meals at the dinning hall) because it was “pure protein”.

Someone in my senior year pointed out that the breading was carbs.

“Higher education” indeed… although I was still getting pretty jacked.

For sure. Huge difference between the 90% and the last 10%. I think where most of us that I see getting ourselves overwhelmed on here is that we worry about the last 10% to the point we stop consistently executing the 90%

Well I mean a 16’’ lean because I used to have 18’’ arms but I had 3’’ of fat at least :joy:
