Do you guys also sell Metabollic Drive and Surge at walmart?
-thanks
No. Metabolic Drive and Surge are priced so low (as compared to what it costs us to make it), that there’d be no profit left over for a middle man (Wal-Mart, in this case).
Paid $17.88 +tax for 28 Spikes plus a nifty “Spike Bullet” was free with the box. Cool free toy, TC.
Thank Tim and the boys at the lab for the Spike Bullet. (Pretty cool, huh?)

Nice way to carry yout supplements around on your key chain. Holds two pills. Mines curently got the fish oil I take at lunch in it, only doing one Spike a day or as needed.

Why don’t they just bump up the selling price to their customer? I guess they would probably have an issue with you guys underselling them; however, with their volume compared to T-Nation, you wouldn’t think that it would be an issue… Just supposition : ).

Sorry, I saw the GNC price (for 50) at 34.95, rather than the walmart price. Even so, at 17.88 + tax (18.77, in MD), the price per pill is .67, whereas the price per pill on the cart here is .80.
I’m not trying to be belligerent, I do love Biotest supplements; if I can get a better deal on the same item, though, I’m going to go for it.
At $17.88 for 28 tabs buying from Walmart is cheaper than T-Nation at $39.99 for 50 tabs. Approx $.64/tab vs. $.80/tab, not factoring in tax at Walmart or shipping from T-Nation. It is still worth buying from T-Nation for me and getting it delivered to my door with the other items I order. I hate having to go to Walmart. Now if they sold it at Target…
And lets not forget GNC has a 20 percent gold card discount as well.
I have a friend who works at Walmart. he gets 25 percent off. Im gonna go check to see if they have any Spike or not, but last time i looked, they didnt. That was a few months ago though.
Still, unless its a steal of a deal, I buy here when I got money.
The Biotest supps at Walmart are packaged slightly differently, box instead of a bottle, than the web store versions, so look carefully. I walked by the Spike twice before I found it.

Just got back from Wal-Mart, didn’t see Spike, but saw HOT-ROX which was not cost effective for 72 caps at 28.99. I’ll just stick buying from T-Nation.

I’ve seen the HOT-ROX but not the Spike! That’s great news! I’m thinking of trying the HOT-ROX again & been wanting to try out the Spike. This is sweet! I’m going tonight!

wal mart blows. so does gnc. cheap bastards, you spend half the day yapping on this site, least you could do is order everything from here.
After reading this thread today, I went into Wal-Mart to look for it (I still haven’t tried it yet) Unfortunately it didn’t look like they had it. They did however have HOT-ROX and Fahrenheit (sold out of course, it must be popular).
So then I decided just to drive accross the street to the mall where there is a GNC. I fucking hate GNC with a passion, but I really had the urge to try Spike. So I go in there and ask the guy if they have it. He tells me they used to have the samples of it and it really sucked. And that the pills are really big so it takes a long time to get into your system. Then hes like yah and it was $60 for 40 tablets (more like $40 for 50 asshole)
SO then I ask him what he recommends. He throws me a bottle of some supp by pmd or something like that. He’s like “yah taking one of these is like taking 3 pills of hydroxycut” Wow, what a comparison. I told him I was just looking for Spike and walked out. GNC is so retarded. I’ve never had a knowledgable person help me out in there. Everything that comes out of their mouth is just stuff they read in the marketing material. I understand Biotest makes more money selling through there. But seriously, I think in some cases it might do more harm than good.

I do order from here and will continue to do so. But unless you’re preternaturally wealthy and don’t have to pay $2.50 a gallon like the rest of us, every damn dollar you can save is going to help.
I agree GNC is full of fools and I usually don’t shop at Wal-Mart. Realize though that when you live in an ultra rural area, your choices are limited and you go where you have to.

Funny how the introduction of Biotest Creatine created a thread with everyone talking about how now they can order ALL their supps online from one source, and support a great site, while over here there’s a rush to WalMart because the assumption is that it will be a better deal than what Biotest offers us here.
Read the labels, people! Stick with T-Nation!
My uneducated guesses:
Biotest makes a buck even from Wal-Mart
Having products exposed to a much larger market through Wal-Mart is good for Biotest, at least in the long run if not in the short one too
I bought a Spike box from Wal-Mart, mostly for the bullet, but from now on I’ll probably buy from T-Nation, mostly because the bottle has more pills and it lasts longer.
