Hey Guys,
I need your help on this one. One of my buddies wants to dump a boat load of cash on this stuff called amplify xl protein powder. The stuff cost’s something like $80 a can.
I looked at what’s in it, and for the life of me I cannnot figure out what makes it so special as say compared to the powders sold here.
Any experiences or knowledge about this product would help me. I don’t want to see him blow his dough!
I’m not necessarily going to argue for Biotest although they make a high quality product. This is the list of “special” ingredients that he is willing to pay more for:
Key Ingredients: Whey Protein Concentrate, Egg Protein, Whey Protein Isolate, L-Glutamine
Your friend is an idiot/sucker for slick marketing. No worries, my friend knows I have worked in the supplement industry for ten years and still won’t listen to me when I tell him that Nitro Tech is just protein powder w/ creatine added. Some people just won’t learn no matter what you tell them

ha, the first thing i do is google it and copy this:
Key Ingredients: Whey Protein Concentrate, Egg Protein, Whey Protein Isolate, L-Glutamine
then i tab back and low and behold already, kinda brings a tear to the eye. i mean this stuff is basically the Grow! whey with a little glutamine and egg protein throw in. and it costs 50% more than Metabolic Drive, which does have a ridiculous effect (or any equivalent to Metabolic Drive, about 10 options on the market).
there is no arguement, your friend is a chump, send him over here (it has to be a guy) and we’ll straighten him out.
“The Promax? enzyme blend and time-released formula were developed to ensure maximum breakdown and absorption of the protein”
Which may not even be bad, but is not possibly worth the 50 dollar difference with Grow! which gives you a pound more.
Everything on that site I looked at is typical, but astronomically overpriced.[/quote]
I wonder if the “time relesed formula” relates to the fact that they use 2 different types of protein (whey and egg)? Well I’m off to drink some of my time released milk!

This kinda shit is always a gimmick when it’s 20 bux a pound.
