Ohio has a blood test “requirement”, but I think it’s more or less at the discretion of the clerk. Part of the form we signed was that we were willing to submit to dna/blood testing if asked, but we never were.
I’d bet if we showed up with the same last name already we would have been “randomly” selected for a blood test.

I know how much everyone dislikes IQ being used but inbreeding can lead to a drop of 2.5 to 10 points, 400% increase chance of Mental Retardation. Not good at all.

This is an example where IQ has more validity. Comparing a group sans inbreeding to the same group with inbreeding is an apples to apples comparison. Also I agree that inbreeding is a “save me from myself” kind of logic. I’m 100% on board with making it illegal.

There are 3.5 BILLION women to choose from. Even if your closing rate is 1/10,000 you have alot of women to choose from before your get to a cousin.

I would be interested in seeing scores on natural children compared to adopted within the same household. Particularly adopted early on.
There seems to be many cases of this in the evangelical church circles. And of course there could be some skewing of numbers due to prenatal and early childhood conditions.
But I am aware of many adoptions that the children are infants, babies.
There are plenty of twin studies done where identical twins are adopted by people of different SES. Often times the twins didn’t even know the other existed.
Researchers found that even though they grew up separately the twins grow up to become very similar. similar IQs, personalities and even similar psychotic episodes.
He means to compare children adopted from other countries with children of the host country (ie, African adopted vs African American). If the scores are so far off on an IQ test that is meant to measure intellect, and you’ve been saying we’re more or less locked in with our IQ at birth, why are children adopted from 2nd/3rd world countries not operating at the mental retardation level you claim they should be stuck at?
Could it be that your environment has a massive factor in determining intelligence for a whole score of reasons, and race is just a minor blip?
