But people of Western European ancestry look different from people of Eastern European stock. Doesn’t that mean they are different races?

Instead of ignoring the above, and people understood blacks will slot into lower to lower middle class professions, one would have recognized that importing millions of hispanics would be disastrous for their employment opportunities.

I thought no non-white people could enter the United States before 1924?
That’s was my understanding of the immigration laws of early 20th. My entire world view has been upended.

To be fair, mine was upended when someone told me that the First Amendment doesn’t actually protect freedom of religion, but instead lays the foundation for an exclusively White Christian nation for people of Western European descent.
