Big jump in the deads. In the first cycle I only got 363 for 5 on my all out set.
Good mornings still suck. I can feel the soreness already setting in…but I’m headed to Vegas tomorrow for the weekend. That should make it feel better.
Unfortunately, I have to end 5-3-1 and start a new program specific to something I’m doing with work. I’ll be training 6 days a week and will not have time for extensive strength work. I’ll be focusing on my endurance and conditioning instead. I loved 5-3-1 and hope to return to it in the near future, but for now, it won’t happen.
Monday I start my new program, which I won’t be logging. Today I did something of a last hurrah for strength oriented training-the challenge Dan John posted in a recent article about 30 minutes of deadlifts at 315#. I lost count, but I think my number was 114. I’ll post video if I can figure out how to work it. I was/am in some serious pain.
Hopefully this loads for anyone interested in a chubby white guy doing a lot of ugly deadlifts. Recount gave me 112…not too shabby. I had worked up to 455, then a miss at 505 before this. Probably not the best of ideas.
