Just got some good news- I’m in at BC Law for the fall. I’ll definitely be in the Boston area come September, though there’s still a chance I’ll be at BU instead.

That’s quite the good news. Congrats bro!

Looks like we’re about to become BFFs.

I live right next to BU.

@spar Thank you sir!

@Bug OMFG excite.

Some dickbag woke me up at 3:30AM by BLASTING Limp Bizkit out in the street for way longer than was reasonable. WTF. The asshole hung around long enough to destroy any semblance of restful sleep I might have had, but at least was cool enough to drive off before I was obligated to step outside 4 murda.

So yeah, unintentional balls early start to my day. Going to catch a 7AM session of performance HFSW before class/cranking out essays all day. Trying to mitigate the only-5-hours-of-sleep-fuck feeling with a bunch of stims and water, but it’s going to be a long day. Hopefully only minor cardiac distress will ensue lol.

Congrats bro! That’s awesome.

I’m assuming you were on the wait-list there? That’s my situation as well with Fordham.

Thanks man!

Surprisingly, no- I’ve been sitting on the waitlist at BU and Fordham but that was the first I’d heard back from BC (they said to expect a decision in 8-12 weeks, so it was on the right timetable since I applied at the last minute). I’m going to cut out of the waitlist at Fordham since BC is closer to home for me, but I’ll probably wait and see what happens with BU.

Hopefully Fordham comes back with some good news for you soon, I hear they’re going to be making some moves on the waitlist in early May.

Here are some shitty mirror pics from today. 201 as of today.

I was worried that I was going to bottom out around 195 this week, since I was dropping consistently since the weekend after throwing the performance-oriented work back in and was down to 198 and change yesterday. Seems like that’s not an issue though.

Regardless, I’m just going to keep the clean food coming and let the weight do what it will for now. I have senior week followed by my cousin’s wedding in a few weeks, so I feel like I’ll be better off keeping the nutrition as close to 100% clean as possible until then. I won’t be shocked if I see a steep gain in BW just from the backing off on training/easing up on nutrition that will undoubtedly occur at that point in time.

Congratulations, How did you prep for the LSAT? I’m taking it in June.

Thanks man

I took a prep course (Testmasters) and that was 8 hours a week not counting homework. The course provided books that had plenty of optional practice tests that I worked on as well. Didn’t feel the need to do anything else.

Good call on taking the LSAT over the summer- I ended up taking it in October and it came right at the beginning of midterm week. Sucked pretty hard lol.

Got ya, I’m actually registered for Kaplan’s LSAT prep. Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur from 6-9 for about a month leading up to the test. There’s four prep tests planned as well. What did you score, if you don’t mind me asking?

Congrats bigmac. When do you start then?

Don’t mind at all… I ended up with a 164. I think my first pretest was 152 (I’m like 95% sure about that but def low 150’s), so the course was helpful. I’m sure Kaplan is a good option- a lot of it comes down to figuring out WTF the deal with the logic games section is haha

Thanks ryan, I should be starting in early September but I don’t know the exact date or really any of the specifics yet since I just got the decision emailed to me yesterday lol

Dudebro, just tryna get dat lat growf.

I just need like 10 more pounds of muscle in my lats/upper back to get the v-taper with my thick ass waist haha

Wheelz.

Shit camera + shit lighting + pale skin + mediocre posin ability = zero detail but here’s at least what the silhouette of my legs looks like lol.

Notes:

This was one of the best workouts I’ve had in awhile. The progression was inspired by some things I’ve read on JM’s site recently (won’t mention his specific guidelines out of respect, don’t know what content he is/is not cool with having shared), the exercise selection was CT-style:

-Started with light explosive work after activation to get myself warmed up in a way that’s more relevant to the pressing movement pattern
-Used holds to get the lat/shoulder/upper back stabilizers ready to press
-Hit some pin presses for near-maximal work. Made it a complex with band work and jumps to keep the stabilizer muscles feeling good and the CNS firing strong
-Threw in some light banded explosive work at the end… I like ending on a lightweight cluster set for activation purposes

Just figured I’d share that because a)I put more thought than usual into this and b)I’m hoping it will give people a better idea of WTF is going on with my training. Just tired of hearing people talking about “ZOMG box jumpz 4 hyooge legz who does that???” Not how I incorporate them lol (though FWIW I think my calves are growing and I feel I get more out of the real muscle builders like squats since I’ve added them).

But yeah, not much to note other than that. I tried band lat pulldowns today (hung the band over the rack, grabbed both ends, knelt down, slow single) and liked them a lot as AR for pressing. I can externally rotate my shoulders toward the top portion of the reps and as CT has said, external rotation does seem clutch for remaining injury free while pressing a lot.

Went with high incline pin presses in lieu of true OHP, since my past shoulder injury (separation in high school) seems to cause my right biceps to overcompensate during the lower part of the rep of OHP and fucks it up pretty badly. Hoping these will have some decent carry-over to bench lockouts. Should’ve had a third cluster single, but my setup sucked (started too far back) and I got it up an inch before I didn’t like the feel in the right shoulder and cut it.

BW 198 today (adding rings always causes a drop lol). Weekend will be off except for Agile 8 work, then next week rings/holds are back out to hopefully get the BW to creep back up a bit.

EDIT: If anyone thinks the programming breakdown was useful and is interested in more detailed descriptions of my programming on future movement-pattern specific days, let me know and I’ll be glad to share.
