Just checking people’s opinion post-change.
Seems like there’s some good and bad to it. Depends on the avatar in fact.
Like now, I can actually see that Miserere’s pic is a flower. Always assumed it was a spider or some such.
Bad side is, now I get stared at by Texasguy’s ugly mug at every one of his posts. And boy do this guy have a life? Not much, judging by the volume of his posts!

They are too big. We could’ve made them larger than before, but not THAT large. Many people have really shitty-looking avatars. Before, they were small enough so it all looked classy. Now, sometimes you’re at work and your screen looks like someone just opened mspaint and put a cat on the keyboard.
And will someone please remove the horrible pixelated TC dog image? That’s just unprofessional. 30 years experience my ass.

I like it, it made me realize professor x’s icon is yawning, not yelling.
Some are hot,(Dedicated) Some are cool (…Havent seen one to warrant a mention) and some are kinda gay (Texasguy)Its more of a mixed bag.

leg pulling aside, i certainly do have a life. Usually i’m dual tasking while typing. I just got off work and am watching tv as i type this on my laptop.
There is the first of many beers to come this saturday night sitting next to me on my coffee table. Soon, i’ll be headed to a restraunt and then to a bar or four.
Most often, I’m finishing an assignment for an Excel Finance class or sitting in said class/lab (extra long for the summer session) and find T-Nation, ebaumsworld and bored.com excellent sources of entertainment to keep me from getting to bored and quitting or falling asleep in class.
Lastly, when i’m not doing homework, at the bar or watching tv, my gf is usually over here and i avoid her pointless discussions about how her friend highlighted her hair this afternoon by visiting the previously mentioned websites as she tells me about all the different shade choices for literally an hour or more.
If i feel that she is up for being naughty on the otherhand, you can bet i’ll be logging off.

I joined after the site change, but I’ve been reading for a little while, now, so I’ve seen both versions of avatars. I agree with Kalle - the nice 'tars are nicer, the poor ones (and you know who you are! 
) are even more of an eye-sore.
My own avatar is much huger than I anticipated. I still like it, anyways.
Are big avatars good or bad?
