Big Ben 4 - 8 Games

I could see crazy Al going after Ben and betting the farm. Like Steel said this will all blow over, unless he fucks up again. I am curious, say he turns shit around and has no more fuck ups, on the trend he is on he will probably be the statistics wise the best Steelers QB of all time. So will he make the HOF? Will this shit come back to haunt him?
If he keeps playing like he has been, he will retire with at least 3 Super Bowl rings. There is no way you stay out of the HOF with 3 rings.

If you wanted to “punish” Big Ben where would you trade him ? What hurts him the most? Oakland, Buffalo and St. Louis desperately need QBs. San Fran and Jax could also use an upgrade.

Jax IMO is the best place to be traded b/c no state income taxes, lots of beaches and Florida cuties in bikinis. Plus a lot of trailer trash which, being from Ohio, he’s used to.

If he goes to Oakland or San Fran the CA state taxes and high cost of living will cost him tens (or hundreds) of thousands or more per year compared to PA but the bay area is beautiful.

Buffalo has high taxes, is a shit hole, the O-line stinks and to top it all off the weather sucks.

I’d say Buffalo is the clear winner.

^ I beat you to it I said this earlier Beg Ben to Buffalo.

Buffalo is easily one of the worst cities in the country. I’ve been there 3 times, got into fights there 3 times. The fucking townies are ridiculous.

In all of the discussion about this case, I haven’t heard Kobe Bryant’s name one time. Kobe was charged and prosecuted for rape in 2003. He was also married at the time. Was anyone talking about trading Kobe at the time? Has his rep been ruined forever? Is it better to be prosecuted and declared not guilty by a jury than to not even be arrested or charged at all?
It seems like you’re being rhetorical, yet at the same time it seems like you’re ignoring that Kobe did indeed get a GIGANTIC backlash from his case. He lost his McDonalds endorsement(I’m sure he lost others but that was the huge one, akin to Tiger losing his Accenture checks) and was facing ‘rapist’ calls from every fan outside of LA just like Ben is right now; he wasn’t suspended because the NBA doesn’t have the conduct policy to match the NFL’s(whether that’s a good or a bad thing is subjective).

As far as the trade talk is concerned you can’t compare the two scenarios. Big Ben’s facing all of this in the offseason just before the draft, arguably the best time to make deals in the NFL timeline. Kobe was missing games to make court dates, and facing potential jail time if convicted, of course he wasn’t getting trade talk. Also, while Ben is a fantastic QB(top5 in the NFL easy) Kobe was the unquestionable #1 player in the NBA at the time, you don’t trade that(also the NBA trading rules make it almost impossible to trade max contract players anyways, if they ever switch teams it is almost always free agency).

Edit: Wanted to add that I agree it will blow over when Ben gets back on the field and plays the game again, just like it did with Kobe. In the division he’ll probably catch flack about it for life but that’s it(just like Kobe is still PE#1 in Denver).

Thanks for the info. I couldn’t remember the Kobe case very well. I just know hardly anyone remembers it now.
