Biden 2021 - A Mediocre Middle Ground

I should probably apologize in advance for posting more biased, far-right extremist content. These cartoonists are open and unapologetically biased conservatives, possibly further right than Ron Desantis.

I normally try to get my cartoon depictions of Joe Biden from unbiased cartoonists, but this one made me LOL.

I find it funny that I can articulate why I supported Donald Trump in clear terms. I liked his policies, I definitely liked the outcomes of his policies and I liked how he shone a light on just how hollow and empty the American left is these days.

And here we are, Democrats advancing a tapestry of train wreck policies, from defunding the police, energy policy, border policy, education policy and working hand in hand with media outlets to curate a false narrative of institutional racism to justify their insanity.

Joe Biden is just the physical embodiment of the modern Democrats.

But yes, Orange man bad. How many threads were there with people getting worked up about news reports of Trumpian malfeasance with no basis in fact?

Russian collusion, Russian bounties, Very Fine People, Emboldening White Supremacists, emboldening FBI informants to kidnap Whitmer, and every other imaginary problem that people took as fact and then judged anyone not foolish enough to fall for the same fact free media narratives.

That’s why people still think “But Trump!” is somehow a compelling argument in favor of Democrat policy disasters.

Your but Biden approach is somehow different?

You are an example of someone who needs a narrative; you need good guys on one side and bad guys on the other. You need the white knight, the lone ranger, the savior. You chose Trump. Trump. A man who is shallow, low intellect, a grifter, immoral and a scumbag. A man who, as president, did not accomplish anything in spite of what you claim. A man who did not follow through on any campaign promises. But he made the people you don’t like upset and that’s all that matters to you. Somehow that is a compelling argument in favor of his non existent policies.

Prior business practices, prior record of screwing people over that was monumental in scope, bad for LGBT rights, bad for criminal justice reform (not related to police reform), many regressive environmental policies/legislature enactments, pulled troops out of Northern Syria allowing for civilian massacres to ensue, very chummy with Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, spread conspiracy theories like Obamagate and QAnon on twitter, fired anyone who wasn’t totally loyal towards him, lied constantly, attended pro life rallies, horrendous pandemic response even going as far as to disband the pandemic response team because it was created by Obama… withheld aid from Ukraine supposedly because they wouldn’t investigate his political rivals, seemed to literally spend hours tweeting every day, doesn’t appear to respect democracy “my authority is total”, comes across as arrogant, obnoxious and as harbouring bad temperament, still refuses he lost the election… I think he’s a thug, and a bully…

What did I like about Donald Trump? He wasn’t politically correct and lacked a filter. Even if I didn’t like what he had to say a good chunk of the time, he blurted out whatever crossed his mind; regardless of whether his observations were PC or not.

He was good for Isreal. His foreign policy on China was top notch, though he reversed a decent portion of his initial restrictive policies.

He pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal

Energy policy? Is looking for a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels a bad idea? As to the educational policy, CRT to my knowledge isn’t mainstream democrat ideology. I prefer the notion of beefing up public school expenditure as opposed to such massive discrepancies existing regarding the educational content/outcomes within elite private schools that very few can afford to send their children to. I abhor puritanical/abstinence only sex education (generally republican policy).

What border policy? Under Biden detainment camps for immigrants still exist, an American citizenship isn’t exactly easy to acquire… many seem to think the goal is to allow anyone to just set up shop in America. It’s not that easy.

I can definitively articulate why I’d prefer Biden to be in power (for now) as opposed to Trump. He wasn’t my preferred democratic candidate, not by a long shot; but he wasn’t Trump. Orange man is bad. I can also articulate why I’d prefer moderate democrats or a progressive republican to be in power (not the CRT, defund the police promoting democrats) as opposed to Donald Trump/Pauline Hanson type political candidates.

(dEmOcRat educational policy)

The Russian collaboration wasn’t an imaginary problem either. There’s a fairly large swath of evidence to suggest it occurred.

We need a word for Biden derangement syndrome, we have TDS, but BDS = the boycott divestment and sanction movement (anti Isreal movement), an arguably anti-semitic moment aimed at delegitimising Isreal no matter the cost.

This is politics… there are no ‘good guys’ and there are no morals… only superficial interactions, ulterior motives and shady agendas pandering towards whatever will keep you in power (short term goalz).

Lol. More projection. Trump was the President for four years. Nothing more, nothing less. He came and went, fulfilling none of the predictions of the unhinged left.

A bunch of posters participated in serious discussions about imaginary situations for four years.

Anyone who didn’t buy into the media narratives was carrying Trumps water or some nonsense.

I don’t write about imaginary outcomes or imaginary hypocrisy in imaginary situations.

My posts pertain to real policies with real outcomes. Or real video.

This is why you will spend literally a hundred posts arguing the nature of reality, making absurd claims like Jim Crow comparisons are open to wide interpretation and that Drfunding the police is not related to Democrats.

You just ignore the First Step Act completely? Or did you not like it?

Trump supported school choice, including free charter schools and government vouchers to allow poor students to attend private schools. Both things the Democrats oppose with all their might.

Looking and funding research is good. Cutting off our supply of fossil fuels before we have a sustainable source is bad.

Here’s an open question for the Biden Supporters. I’ll even throw a softball focused on just one issue. Let’s start with the core of modern Democrat rhetoric, the notion of American White Supremacy and Institutional Racism.

Do you believe President Biden is correct that white supremacy is a major problem in the USA?

This is not flippant language being used by Biden. He was very clear that he believes Republicans are attempting to bring back Jim Crow, which is strange because that was Democrat policy…

If so, who are your top 3 most dangerous or concerning white supremacists today?

If you’re having a hard time with that question, can you name the top 3 most concerning white supremacist policies?

If for some strange reason you struggle with that, can you name your most concerning manifestation of white supremacy in the USA?

Can someone, anyone back up the President on this? Make the case.

  1. Necessities have costs
  2. White people are allowed to decline romantic relationships and friendships with POC.
  3. White ownership of professional athletic teams, which exploit black people and pay them far less than they could be earning in any other field.

But Trump… for $1000 Alex.

I know it’s already been played

Cmon now, let’s be fair to our liberal posters. I’m sure they are trying to narrow their many examples down to a top 3.

This is a very straightforward question that any Biden supporter should be able to explain in clear terms.

That was not used correctly.

Yet, you declare his presidency some sort of success. And Biden, who has been in office months, has already ended civilization.

With Trump, you write about none.

Unless its Trump, and you provide none.

Of course they are. Just like your interpretation of the Democrats destroying this country because of the beliefs of someone like AOC.

I would usually say you are being disingenuous but I’ll call you what you are, a liar. I have asked you before to post proof of what you claim but we know liars don’t do that. You used to be a decent poster but you’ve become a dirtbag.

What do I get if I name three?

Edit: when I name three?

No, because in 2021 institutionalised racism isn’t present in the same manner it was forty years ago. Hate crimes do occur (Pittsburgh synogague shooting etc), but they’re typically isolated events as opposed to the rhetoric some grand conspiracy is present with hate seeded individuals intwining themselves within society all the way up to the top like wolves in sheep clothing.

However it appears as if you like to focus in on one statement/viewpoint harboured within various political counterparts (a very select few democrats) and hammer away at that one detail regardless of context. This is politics, regardless of what the Democratic Party believes they will say whatever they need to say in effort to amass as much public support as they possibly can, ditto for the republicans who are not knights in shining armour. I’ll reiterate what Zecarlo said earlier, there are no good guys. You’re searching for a right and a wrong, but there is none. With politics it’s not that black and white, you’ve got a lot of corporate lobbying, internal conflicts, ulterior motives and yadayadayada.

I’m not a Biden supporter, I’m not a Trump supporter either; if I’d had the chance to vote in 2016 I’d have voted for Biden. Does that make sense? I don’t like either, but I preferred one over the other.

I want to set our differences aside and state I don’t see our political discrepancies as being indicative of you harbouring inadequate moral fundamentals. I have no doubt you are an upstanding, productive member of society.

We quabble, but I don’t actually have anything against you as a person. I think this is something that isn’t often said during political discourse, people get irritated, people fling quasi insults at one another… but at the end of the day we are all human, we (usually) vote for and advocate for what we believe will amount to the best outcome.

I’ll say it… I support many democratic policies, but I’m not a sociopath or a member of antifa… I support quite a few republican policies, but I’m not a trump supporter or a wHiTe SuPrEmAcIsT!

Babylon bee are a satirical, conservative, christian outlet. I find many of their videos funny and surprisingly somewhat relevant. It’s a decent jab at woke/pc culture.

I’ll make a sandwich on your behalf and take a picture of it. You can even have the luxury of choosing what type of sandwich it will be!

Funnily enough, Trump was trying to push white supremacist policies. The muslim ban. Him wanting to limit legal immigration from shithole countries and increase it from Western Europe. He had an advisor, Stephen Miller, who cited policies that were created by eugenicists. Steve Bannon is a white nationalist. Trump had some real creeps advising him.

If you can name one more you get a sandwich picture! How exciting! :sandwich: I don’t have bread but I have matzo

I wasn’t going to use any of those for my three.

My grandmother used to buy matzo all the time. I remember telling her they were Jewish and her response was, they’re crackers.

Do you believe the United States today has policies in place that cater towards white supremacy?

I don’t think so, but then again I moved back to Aus five years ago

I believe it manifests itself without being explicitly a matter of policy. I believe we definitely see the vestiges of it and the refusal to acknowledge it, let alone correct it, is one way it manifests itself. The whole pull yourself up by your bootstraps is an example. The thing is, it’s a question of semantics but some posters will only acknowledge that when it benefits their point of view.

I acknowledge some people say shit like this, but it’s becoming less common and it partially stems from ignorance as well as preconceived notions about black people… which I suppose one could call white supremacy, but I’d call it racism.

Racism = prejudiced beliefs

white supremacy = the belief Caucasians are the superior/master race

That’s how I perceive it. Racism is still prevalent in society, but it pales in comparison to the days of ‘stop and frisk’ or the days of disproportionate arrests during the crack cocaine epidemic (I recall 1/3rd of crack users were white but around 97% of those arrested were of African American descent).

I don’t think racism is systemic as it was prior to the 1990’s, with legitimate police brutality, stopping people because they were black, segregation and the likes. Perhaps I’m wrong, I know racism is still inherently systemic to a degree within Australia. Not towards African Americans, but towards indigenous Australians and Asian, Lebanese and Sudanese immigrants. The latter two however tend to cause a lot of issues (disproportional to other racial demographics) with youth violence, gang related activity and the likes, bringing that up is apparently racist… but it’s a real issue, I know quite a few people who have been robbed, beaten or held at knifepoint by these youths. Unfortunately this trickles down towards disdain being harboured towards entire communities.

The arrest discrepancy in the US is still apparent with cannabis (not sure about crack cocaine), I’m not sure if this is due to racism or due to higher police presence within high crime neighbourhoods with statistically higher rates of drug use. My Caucasian friend in the US spent a day in jail and had to go to court over a few grams of cannabis (he lives in an area you’d call “the ghetto”). I attributed this to the fact his area is generally policed more heavily, in a rich neighbourhood there’s not a chance he would have been booked/caught over that.

Today I learned that Australians have more discernment than a good chunk of Americans (who clearly watch TV “news” to feel good and confirm their existing beliefs, rather than stay informed)

Also feel like there’s an obvious parallel to be drawn with our still-rising obesity rates (up to 42% now, and this despite relatively nonexistent “gray area” in the ‘human physiology’ context versus that of ‘partisan politics’)
