Glad to see Biden coming out with this statement. Seems common sense, and overdue. Only a crazy person thinks an assassination of trump helps the country.
“Thank God the president is okay,” Biden said.
“The one thing I want to make clear is Secret Service needs more help, and I think the Congress should respond to their needs if they in fact need more Service people,” Biden said at the White House, shortly before leaving for Delaware and Pennsylvania. “So that’s what we’re going to be talking about.”
Asked by CNN’s Kevin Liptak what kind of help they needed, Biden responded, “I think we need some more personnel.”

If Trump can be charged with election interference for paying hush money to a porn star, they can be charged with the same for creating a virtually insurmountable bias against him in what was supposed to be a fairly objective display of the two candidates abilities to present and defend their policy choices.
Similarly, if his speaking at a rally on Jan. 6, wherein he said nothing that could even be construed as violent rhetoric, Democrats across the country that have been bellowing that he’s Hitler, Satan and everything else for the past 10 years should be charged with conspiracy to commit murder for each time it has been attempted thusfar.
But that would be crazy. What would you call something like that? Lawfare?
What is your issue with Vance’s words in that clip you shared? He seemed to explain himself quite well.
I’m starting to lose track of all of the right wing conspiracies that keep coming true in Lewiston, let alone the rest of the world. I still haven’t lost count of the places in the USA improved by rhetoric and policy like Harris’. Zero is an easy number to recall.
Of course, many other countries are enjoying improved outcomes due to the Biden policies since they can just send their crooks and crazies to the USA.
Are you zeroing in on the video title without listening to the entire audio or something? Of everything that’s happened, people eating pets seems like one of the more plausible things I’ve heard. I would gladly do an immigrant swap with Springfield, OH.

A post above mine showed VP Harris lying, with the critique “the ends justify the means.” The post gave me the impression that a Democratic candidate stretching the truth to secure votes was a bad thing.
In the Vance video, he says he’s willing to create stories to manipulate the media. He agrees the ends justify the means.
I guess I just wanted to show how aligned the parties are becoming.
That was mine. I posted that because the governor of somewhere insists that regardless of whether or not Harris lied- which she did in a very bold faced attempt to convince people of something that is absolutely not true, that Harris has demonstrated the ability to be Commander In Chief.
So she (governor) is willing to suspend truth or any actual facts of the matter in support of her favorite for president.
Hence the ends justifying the means.
As for Vance and how the pet stuff got started, I’m dubious of that. I’m pretty sure the hatians are being pretty well cared for and don’t need to eat cats. If in fact it was a lie or based on one, it definitely changes my opinion of Vance.
I do know for a fact that homeless people will eat ducks & geese though. I’ve seen that first hand. I can’t really blame them either. Those birds are an amazing combination of stupid and delicious.
He also clarified that he meant draw attention to stories that the media overlooks, not make stuff up with no basis in reality, as Harris did on the debate stage about a vital national issue of troop deployments.
She either didn’t know or lied about troop deployments. All without any “fact check” that the opposition candidate and frequent assassination target was subjected to. That’s pretty big.
ALL that is happening, and people want to talk about whether or not its really true that some of the un-vetted people let into the country en-masse might do something like eat a pet or simply kill it for pleasure?
Everyone acts like immigration concerns are some over-exaggerated issue but they are not. Institutions get overwhelmed quickly and there has been no discernable benefit I can see to the average citizen who lived in my town 20 years ago aside from continued artificial pressure on the housing market to pump up home values.
Would you trade a functioning public school, decent staffing at all important businesses and hospitals, affordable cost of living for your kids and nearly nonexistent violent crime for an extra 150-300k valuation on your property and the satisfaction of making sure a Republican doesn’t win?
By my reckoning, that seems to be the trade voters in my area enthusiastically charged ahead with over the last 20 years, and especially the last 5.
That’s the trade Democrats are asking people everywhere to make, all for some vague notions of diversity and misguided altruism. Self-congratulation awaits every virtuous anti-racist, ally, and champion of equity who believes they are fighting a great evil of our time.
That’s why normal Americans who aren’t oppressing anybody are now white supremacists and extreme MAGA Republicans. And people really believe it. That’s a big problem.

Artificial pressure on housing values? That’s called a free market, nothing artificial about that.
New immigrants come in, employers eagerly pay them minimum wage (thereby massively undercutting local workers) and landlords rent out cots for 250/month and cram twenty in a dilapidated house (unlike cat eating stories that weren’t corroborated despite Rufo offering a 5k reward, these are actual stories from Springfield OH).
So, which communist measures do you propose to undercut the free market and remove the pull factor for immigrants? Imprisonment of greedy landlords? Government seizing means of production… I mean, punishing evil corporations for making too much money by undercutting long suffering native workers? A massive increase in minimum wage for native citizens?
As I said before, deporting 20 million people won’t work due to logistic constrains and the fact that multiple US industry sectors depend on people from shithole countries doing shitty jobs for a pittance.
