Biden sounded and looked old but I don’t know if Trump really answered a single question.
Luckily, he was told mere seconds before stepping on stage by experts that our water and air was the cleanest it’s ever been under him. Man, that was funny.
It was his usual absolute statements about how things were the best ever or worst ever and nothing concrete about what steps to take or how he’d fix things.
Nobody on either side changed their mind afterwards and people in the middle just walked away feeling even more sure that they hate both options.

Well, they are both bad. But, under Trump I can count on border closing, China and Russia being off balance and the economy/taxes being giving the priority. Also, I am sure that Trump pretty much won’t drool, I am not so sure on Biden after last night.
I felt sorry for Biden, the guy needs to be in a retirement home and enjoy the time he has left.

I’d like to think the Republicans could do the same, but I think a large GoP voting block actually prefers / likes Trump. I can understand voting for Trump if your option is Trump or Biden, but to prefer him to other GoP candidates is a tough one for me to understand, and it’s sad to me that he may be the best candidate when it comes to probability of winning.
I have a feeling a large part of the rest of the world is laughing at us.

I wasn’t going to watch. But a conventional “consensus” crescendo always piques my interest so I watched it afterwards. @jshaving pretty much summed it up wrt Trump. But I think @jshaving took it easy on a dementia suffering senior citizen…
Smokin’ Joe Biden is never stepping down voluntarily. He HATES Trump; stepping down would be Joe conceding Trump is the “better” man. Poor old Joe still thinks he has a 6 or 7 golf handicap…LOLLLL!!! That’s how deluded Joe is, but more importantly that is how Joe still sees himself when he looks in the mirror.
I think the doctor(s) mis-timed the drug cocktail. They probably waited longer than they normally do because Joe had to be “alert” (aka awake) for more than 90 minutes (plus the planned breaks). So we saw Demented Joe before we got the Drugged Up Joe. I’m not a doctor, but I live at a Motel 6.
add -oh, btw, the clip of Joe doing the old person side step (for balance) down the stage stairs while hanging on to Jill’s hand (because no railing) was beyong pathetic

THIS! I just keep talking to people I know and we all say the same things: If we were ever in the cognitive state that sleepy Joe is CLEARLY in, we would really hope we could count on our wives/sons/brothers/etc to step in and remove us from the public eye, so that we could have some smidgen of dignity remain. But it is very clear that Jill Biden (LOfuckingL at her correcting people that it’s “DR.” - she got a rinky dink PhD in education and taught at a community college) loves the limelight, loves all the travel, events, and other “perks” that come with being first lady. Hey, she didn’t become Hunter’s nanny for no reason…she knew what she was doing and moved in on Joe Biden when his wife died asap. Only then, she was happy with just being a US senator’s wife.
Then she got a taste of the VP’s wife life during Barry’s administration and that only grew her appetite for power/prestige.
I will also say that Joe is a stubborn, prideful, and generally very vindictive person and his pride will NEVER allow him to step down either. I honestly believe he is in denial of how bad his mental cognition has deteriorated and in his mind thinks he is doing a great job still. But why shouldn’t he? Everyone around him is a yes man…or woman…or tranny…or lesbian minority…or [insert another DEI role checkbox he filled-no experience necessary]. And when you “ace” questions all the time about what flavor of ice cream you like best, or who your favorite actor is, what’s your favorite movie, etc, as opposed to real unscripted, unrehearsed policy questions on the fly, why wouldn’t Joe think he’s killing it?
I am enjoying watching the Democrat talking heads squirm with this new debate development, discussing what can be done, because like someone said above, they all KNOW that Kamel toe as president would be an unmitigated disaster, but yet the fact that she is a black female makes saying ANYTHING negative about her, even if true, off limits. So they all dance around the sad truth, that nobody wants that to happen, so what can they do to get Joe out, yet leapfrog Kamel, and get someone else. It’s humorous watching the PC/DEI police have to delicately pick and choose every single word/phrase so as to not set off the DEI/race alarm–the one that they so adamantly govern.

I scream internally every time I see this fact brought to my attention. Not because I am for DEI, but because:

When I was trying to get my shit on track, I was laughed out of job interviews based mainly on criminal record and lack of relevant experience. But the probation officer said I needed a job, so on I went.

Even with shit straight for a long time I was interviewing at one place, took the qualification tests, relevant experience, education, certs, diploma, etc. And the guy says “I have a hundred applications just like this. Why should I hire YOU?”.
So now, to get a job in the highest levels of government, all a man needs need is a nice dress and to identify as a can of raspberry soda.

Where did I go wrong?
I have my doubts. China, perhaps. Russia, surely. Iran.
But the US is likely the most important player in the world stage. Sure, BRICS may rejoice, but the fact that these two muppets are what’s on the table for the US elections (for the second time, no less) is no laughing matter for the civilized world. Or shouldn’t be.

For those of youse unfortunate enough to know people with cognitive decline/dementia, take heart -it’s reversible! Biden has dementia now, but when Jill yanks Joe across the nomination finish line, his dementia will be cured!!!..just like it was in 2019! (start at 46:00)
