No, it’s really not a cartoon version. That’s what it boils down too. The entire point is to bring the different social classes together, creating one class and the “dictatorship of the proletariat”. The problem is, most of the proletariat is below average and should not be running anything (for example: you).

If you have a bunch of dumbasses running society, you’ll get dumbass results. The best need to rise to the top to progress society (not necessarily in a capitalist manner). Otherwise, society defaults down to the mean Gaussian distribution in which the average idiot is making decisions, likely to their own detriment because the outliers offering better solutions (i.e. the right end of the distribution curve) are ignored.
If I am ignorant in my conclusion, explain to me how I am wrong. Better yet, first explain to me that you understand the concept of Gaussian distribution.

My wife and I recently saw a wolf. Rural upstate NY. We had eradicated wolves in this area over 100 years ago. There’s a congressman from Brooklyn that introduced a bill to protect the wolves and create a coyote tag system so hunters can’t claim they thought they shot a coyote. “We need to protect the wolves from hunters,” is easy to say when you live in Brooklyn and don’t have to worry about your kids or livestock.

Livestock and especially children are (obviously) worth protecting, but wolf populations, if controlled, have countless positive impacts on ecosystems. It’s tough to balance, though.

I’m an outdoorsman and care deeply for conservation, but I’m not for reintroducing wolves or lions. Like you said, tough to balance.

Exactly. So why is the wealth gap widening? Why did the Princeton study show that the mass of the people rarely get things passed that they want? However, the ruling class, billionaires and corporations, the donor(ruling)class get almost everything they want. Often at the expense of the poor and working class.
