Biden 2021 - A Mediocre Middle Ground

Mind telling us what the Israeli command and other influencers have said?

Agreed. This relationship is detrimental to this country and has been for some time.

Cause, I don’t think that wealth addiction of humans ought to be able to rule over others. In China capital is subservient to the government. In the U.S. it is exactly the opposite.

Really? A look into the caveman mind of Bauber.

And of course another non-answer.

While that may be true, what does it say about you getting your ass kicked in life in EVERYTHING by a person with a caveman mind?

Man that must be a tough pill to swallow, but I am sure you are good at swallowing. Your mom - not so much.

There was not a need for an answer because it has been well established the gold standard does not exist.

Have you taken a look at the wealth disparity in China? LOL.

I don’t think someone’s addiction to being lazy and a loser entitles them to the wealth of anyone else.

And news flash - those with the money have always and will always rule. Welcome to humanity 101 for all of human history and the foreseeable future.

The question, as I recall, was what economic school of thought do you espouse?

That it fits well by the economic system that has cast millions into poverty.

But in China, that is not the case. The capitalists don’t make the rules.

Your narcissistic future is starting to have major problems.

You stated, “Much like your gold-standard fantasy.” We both know that is not my fantasy and we have been over what I espouse many times. No need to rehash it again here.

And how many has it brought out of poverty? Also poverty in the US looks very different from poverty elsewhere. You would know this if you had ever actually traveled.

Those with the money and power do… are you that fucking stupid? Whom do you think controls all the money in China?

My future is fine and bright. My children’s future is also bright. They will thrive in any society and adapt.

You however have never adapted and will die alone with no offspring.

Good job bro. You really beat me and those pesky capitalists!

Here’s the problem with that: the Middle East will still be involved with us. Imagine a Saudi Arabia without the US to protect it. Iran would take over the region and I don’t think it would end well for the world. Israel would use its nukes to save itself. Europeans eventually got tired of going to war against one another other but the Middle East just can’t unlearn that behavior.

Maybe, but focus on defense then. Not playing offense in someone else’s war.
Iran and Saudi Arabia are fairly evenly matched military might wise outside of Iran having enriched uranium.

The Saudis can’t even defeat some barefoot Houthis.

They own a few dozen F-15s. They could if they wanted.

We had to save them from Iraq. The Persians have a long history of warfare and conquest, the Arabs don’t. The Arab army that invaded and conquered much of Spain was made up of mostly Berbers.

Anyone, period.

Nope, but you are. You think everything works like it does in the U.S. because you’ve been swallowing corporate propaganda for decades.

Why? Is it that week? And your embarrassed.

The question ought to revolve around recently. And how many have been driven into poverty because of the “might makes right” philosophy.

Like most others on here, you have to compare it to a third world country instead of looking how much the society has devolved in the U.S.

I evolved in a different direction and this system is absolute shit. You chose to accept it and fuck any of the consequences. If it doesn’t make you more money, then how can it be good. Me, me, me, me…

Are you the pot or the kettle?

Yes, everyone here is aware.

And we constantly laugh at you.

Thanks for the entertainment on a slow day.

No one even comes close to this worshiper of money. Nothing more than an addiction to wealth.

Wow that really hurts. Being laughed at by the prisoners of Plato’s Allegory In The Cave.

If that is what gives you solace in your pathetic miserable life, I am all for it. Glad I could help you a little bit at least.

The only prisoner here is you peasant. Now get back to trading currency and spending money so I can make more.

Thank you for your contribution that will allow me to buy more land and more assets.

I really appreciate it.

Everyone has an idol they look up to. Yours just happens to be a utopia that will never happen. It can’t.
You want equality of outcome, just like all the other idiots who don’t contribute to the betterment of society. We’ve been through this before - equality of outcome brings everybody down to least common denominator and keeps them there.
What society needs is equality of opportunity, and there is definitely work to be done there. Equality of opportunity maximize the equations and leads to the overall greatest benefit.

I’m not sure if there’s a better thread to post this on, but this seems like the right one with the election coming up later this year. I’m also not too keen to post on places like Reddit where there’s just too many users and point scoring is the goal over discussion.

The house and senate passed some bills in my state recently that are landing at our governors desk soon. Most of them are some idiotic gun control measures that unfortunately will probably get signed into law, but are still relatively tame compared to places like NY, IL, NJ, MA, etc.

The one I’m primarily interested in discussing/learning about is the decision for my state to commit their electoral college votes to align with the national popular vote.

Generally speaking, the popular vote has tended to lean left throughout my lifetime. My state has also voted blue pretty consistently throughout. It’s the typical large state breakdown of a blue coastal area with the majority of inhabitants, and a large swath of red everywhere else that’s sparsely inhabited.

From what I gather, this change will make the “zone 2” electoral a de-facto blue vote despite the majority of those residents voting red.

Does something like this actually change anything in my already blue state, or is this just more “do nothing, but say you did something” typical of politicians?

Because I mentioned it earlier, the gun control measures likely being passed:
72hr waiting periods, including private sales
Redefining “machine gun” to include all semi-auto firearms (and shotguns since they fire multiple projectiles)
Changing our existing yellow flag laws to red flag laws

I know there’s another thread where that would be more appropriate to discuss. I’m not too interested, apparently words don’t mean anything and for some reason Bloomberg has a big hard on for gun rights in Maine.
