Dumocracy?
Money.
The Gulf theocracies are spending massive sums on military hardware they will never use - and more importantly - on lobbysts and former admin officials across the aisle in an effort to (keep) using US armed forces as hired muscle in their 1300 year old war.
Because without said muscle they would be devoured by Shiites in a couple of days. And the infidels don’t mind if you blow them up if you fork some cash to the right people afterwards.
Enjoyed the read. The Cuomosexual, heh.
“Have you ever seen a grown man naked?” -Andrew Cuomo…maybe
It’s just that after reading (not really) all the big brouhahah threads in PWI, I thought, for sure!, the new boss would be different than the old boss.
War, no war, terrorism, no terrorism, no matter what it is necessary that we drastically outspend every other country in the world combined on our military.
It is interesting to see the US tracing the same path of ‘managed decline’ that the U.K. did after the Suez disaster.
Come on, chaps, you’re a century too early to be giving up the imperium!
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
Notice the tense. In fact, just read all of Psalm 33.
I believe Trump had quite a few more drone strikes than Obama in the comparative amount of time. Trump was pretty active dropping those in “stone age countries” it just wasn’t really covered. So you may think he wasn’t doing any of that stuff because you don’t remember hearing about it. But I think you would be mistaken.
And the scary part of that is it’s on purpose. So without going down the whole to drone or not to drone debate that has been done on here before we might be slowly getting to a place where we aren’t even going to know. Which is intentional.
And it’s not much of a debate since both parties are guilty and would rather just not have anyone talk about it anyways. Hell we may be a few years away from just not even acknowledging we use drones.

He also withdrew the Iran deal and knelt before the Saudis.
You got me thinking above my aforementioned reply, which is still my answer foundationally.
But 200 years at the zenith, is pretty much the longest reign historically.
Pax Romana, Britannica, Americana cost a lot of resources to safeguard the booty taken by one’s ancestors, from ‘evil empires’
All that said even though I have said it before I absolutely give Trump credit in moving the Republican Party away from nation building actions of the GWB era. By far the best thing he contributed to a new way of thinking for the GOP in regards to foreign policy.
How long has america had at the top? Just under 80 years so far?
0 years.
He also ordered that MOAB drop, which was idiotic…but that was the high point of his presidency for many anti-Trumpers.
IMO Biden is the radical one and Sanders is the populist. Biden wants to keep healthcare away from people by expanding that trash called the ACA. Sanders wants everyone to have healthcare like the rest of the industrialized countries of the world. Biden said several times he’d veto a bill like M4A if it came across his desk. Rolling back Trump’s orders against the EPA is a step in the right direction but much more is needed to be done. I suppose it depends on what his donors want. He is fighting like hell for that waste of humanity named Neera Tanden yet he folds on the 15/hr. Just goes to show you whose side is really on.
I read up a little on Neera Tanden. She seems like a shitty person who is very unlikeable. One thing I notice with these people is that you can see when and from where they graduated college but you don’t see an actual job they had after college. They go straight into politics.
Nothing better than seeing the 24 year old with a master’s degree, being described as Democratic consultant or Republican strategist. Uh…okay.
