It is easy to get upset about these large numbers. I think it is important to understand the scale of the US national budget to keep things in perspective though.

It’s interesting how the federal government will vote to ok sending money to places like Ukraine but when it comes to spending money on Americans, it always turns into a political fight. For example, the whole student loan issue. Ukrainians, Indonesians and others are poor souls who need our help but Americans who might get some of their student debt cancelled are free loaders and moochers.
Problem is - it is not the government’s money. Money taken from the people is supposed to go back to American Citizens.
WE, the people, should be tar and feathering these cocksuckers in the streets for giving our money overseas when we have massive money issues here on top of a spiraling out of control deficit.
Any billions going overseas is coming back in some form of kickbacks to politicians or their friends - 100%.
I agree and I paid my student loans. I would rather see the money go to AMERICAN CITIZENS education costs than overseas or to bailout corporations.
