I did not vote for either Trump or Biden, considering them both to be unworthy leaders. I used my option for a write in candidate.

I honestly can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not. The Afghanistan withdrawal is awful, to be certain. But that aside, things stateside aren’t that much different than they were 6 or even 12 months ago. If anything, the labor market’s starting to bounce back - not because of Biden, necessarily, just the ebb and flow of things. Hate on Biden all you want but let’s not jump over the edge prematurely here.

I found this graph which shows the effects of increased Aggregate Demand ( total demand for all finished goods produced in the economy) on Price Level (average cost of all goods and services produced in the economy).

Notice Long Run Aggregate Supply (the total output an economy can produce when all it’s factors of production are in use) is just a vertical line. In the short term, LRAS is Fixed. It takes time to hire workers, expand infrastructure, secure raw materials, etc, etc. You can’t change that stuff in a couple months.
All the recent economic stimulus money has Increased Aggregate Demand (from AD1 to AD 2) in our economy. People have more money to spend and they want more stuff, regardless of the price. We have More money chasing the Fixed amount of goods.
As a result, the price level goes up.
This graph show the price level a year later. The high price level incentiveced Suppliers to produce more goods. This increased supply Lowers the price level while Expanding total economic output.
These (not awesomely formated) graphs show the price and production level for Wood. You can see supply was low, demand went up resulting in high prices. High prices lead to increased production. Increased production lead to a higher level of output and a lower price level.
