I did not vote for either Trump or Biden, considering them both to be unworthy leaders. I used my option for a write in candidate.
On a day where 13 service members died, the Sergeant Major of the Army was posting about diversity. Think about that.

On the day 13 service members died, others stepped up to show what it means to honor your word.
"The bravery and courage and commitment of my brothers and sisters in the Pineapple community was greater than the U.S. commitment on the battlefield."
Looking back at an effort that saved at least, by their count, 630 Afghan lives, Redman expressed deep frustration “that our own government didn’t do this. We did what we should do, as Americans.”
A final note from gold star sister:
On this day in 2007 my oldest brother was killed in Afghanistan. Normally, this is the one day I allow myself to feel the full impact of grief I felt when I initially was told. Now, that grief is eclipsed by anger. Not only Americas, but our closest allies lost sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, friends and relatives. So many fought and sacrificed to protect the innocent and quell evil. Unfortunately, it seems their sacrifice has been forgotten by those who should never take for granted what brave and noble men and women are willing to fight and die for. Freedom. To my fellow Gold Star families, your loss is not forgotten, and your pain is not ignored, dispite the disgraceful way events have transpired over the last week and a half. I am sorry.
It is difficult to talk to either of you Trump haters, as you let that rule over either your reading comprehension or perhaps your intellect. Every post regarding Biden’s hideous acts, is jumped on by the same 4-5 of you bitching about Trump.
I am and have always been opposed to neocon/rino measures of country destruction followed by nation building/attempted Westernization. Always, and in dozens of posts on TN.
Therefore - I have disagreed with my money squandered and my sons sent to die in a foreign land. And for absolutely nothing.
We should have pulled out years ago, but done it in a sane manner. Biden has done every thing he could to change Trump’s actions. Suddenly he held to some date made a year ago? And he pulls the military before getting 1000s of people and $BBs of equipment out?
Any one who agrees with HOW he did this, is as big a fool as he.
First; your insults didn’t address my questions one damn bit.
Secondly; show me where I have agreed with the way this withdrawal was handled; or how I have somehow “absolved” Biden of any responsibility…and I’ll never post on PWI again.
The true “fools” are those that seem to want to absolve the very architect of the withdrawal of any responsibility.
Are you saying Trump was wrong to agree to withdraw? If so, how long should we have stayed? Or are you saying it was Trump’s plan to retreat to the Kabal airport and make a stand there?
Trump had no more of a “plan” for withdrawal than Biden did.
but… they’re not, they’re radical islamic extremists.
If they’re marked as moderate, would other regions follow suit? That is immensely problematic
You can’t label a terrorist regime as “moderate” just because “they’re not quite as bad as ISIS… but fairly close”. Have you seen how they make women dress? Fully covered up except for two tiny slits by the eyes… doesn’t it get to like 100 F + in Afghanistan?
https://2001-2009.state.gov/g/drl/rls/6185.htm
They generally treat women, homosexuals and “infidels” etc terribly. Many of their policy enactments pertaining to autocratic, punitive legislature are identical to the ideology conveyed within fundamentalist jihadism
Fully with you. I would have abstained or voted for an independent candidate.
My bad @idaho your post was just the one I picked to make my stand. Sorry man.
I apologize… I messed with the wrong guy.
Well, regardless. Every nimrod with TDS has egg on their face now. The single worst decision by any president in the history of the republic was made by Biden. I checked, there was not a worse decision ever made.
Any idiot knows that you remove the military last. Any idiot know, you remove air cover dead last of all. He gave the people that the military hired until Aug 31 to get to safety and get out. Then he pulls just the troops in the middle of the night.
$80 Billion dollars worth of military equipment, blackhawk helicopters, fucking fighter jets, ground to air missiles, everything.
The thing is, we knew he was this bad. We all knew it. Whether or not you liked the orange guy, everybody knew what they were signing up for with Biden. And we got it in spades.
Everything run by the government is in crisis. There is not one thing the government is doing that works.
Been to the store an noticed shelves were empty? My Walmart looks like a soviet era grocer. Restaurants cannot serve chicken due to a chicken shortage. Shelves bare. Why? Build back better meant, ‘Don’t bother, we’re the government we’ll help.’ And that’s what that looks like
No problem.
Who is instructing the President of The United States? This is not the first time Biden has alluded to someone giving him orders.
Buckle up folks. I think we’re just getting started here.
Ronald Reagan: Iran-contra affair, collaboration with anti-communist Nicaraguan groups, subsequently resulting in a cascade of downstream events of which a blind eye was turned to of which led to the infiltration of crack cocaine in the US
James Buchanan: Failed to keep union together right before the civil war commenced, did nothing to stop the south seceding. Could have perhaps tabled a vote prior to the south leaving over the issue of slavery.
The latter is obviously the worst presidential decision ever made imo.
Is that the card you really want to play? Biden reversed every trump policy he saw. And he clearly didn’t follow the plans architect. You are being intentionally dishonest and you know it. There is no saving face. Biden is a complete disaster. The single worse decision ever made by and president ever. 13 Military dead, unknown Americans, Afghans, women and children. If Biden really followed trump’s plan, he would have been out by May 1 and the military and air support was the last to leave. You canno shuck and jive out of this one. This was a colossal fuck up, among many. You got the orange guy out, now have the dignity to take responsibility for what you voted for and supported. This is not on trump, it’s so lame to even have to address such a desperate dodge of responsibility.
Face it, you wanted this guy and you knew who he was, how incompetent he was, how stupid he is.
You got Jan 6 and I got this debacle in Afghanistan. And you better believe I will never let this go. I will beat this drum until the head falls off, then replace it and keep beating it. It’s time to stop pretending things aren’t what they are. They will happily throw you also in the meat grinder with the rest of us.
These aren’t hypotheticals anymore. These are reality and we have to deal with it. You cannot sweep the horrifying things this administration and the left are doing to this country anymore. The stakes are too high. No more semantic square dancing, no more pseudo-intellectual postulating.
We are in bad fucking trouble man. Look at Australia, that is coming here. The question is, what are you willing to do about it?
The stupidest words ever uttered in all of history is “It can’t happen here”. It can, and it is and we better wake the fuck up.
You have no damn idea who I voted for.
I don’t even discuss it with family; so I sure as hell will not talk about it with a bunch of anonymous Trump ball-lickers on a public Forum…
I also don’t give a damn about what you choose to “let go” of or not…nor is it a surprise that you would go off on some psychopathic rant about all of the World’s ills being caused by one side of the Political Spectrum.
In fact, I expect it.
I honestly can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not. The Afghanistan withdrawal is awful, to be certain. But that aside, things stateside aren’t that much different than they were 6 or even 12 months ago. If anything, the labor market’s starting to bounce back - not because of Biden, necessarily, just the ebb and flow of things. Hate on Biden all you want but let’s not jump over the edge prematurely here.
From the president’s speaking yesterday, I have some hope this will not become Dunkirk 2.0
I will not rule out being dead wrong.
I do! You voted for Trump… Twice in fact
One by mail, one at the voter stations.
Thought you could get away with it… And you could have, if it weren’t for meddling kool kidz such as myself!
I found this graph which shows the effects of increased Aggregate Demand ( total demand for all finished goods produced in the economy) on Price Level (average cost of all goods and services produced in the economy).
?
Notice Long Run Aggregate Supply (the total output an economy can produce when all it’s factors of production are in use) is just a vertical line. In the short term, LRAS is Fixed. It takes time to hire workers, expand infrastructure, secure raw materials, etc, etc. You can’t change that stuff in a couple months.
All the recent economic stimulus money has Increased Aggregate Demand (from AD1 to AD 2) in our economy. People have more money to spend and they want more stuff, regardless of the price. We have More money chasing the Fixed amount of goods.
As a result, the price level goes up.
This graph show the price level a year later. The high price level incentiveced Suppliers to produce more goods. This increased supply Lowers the price level while Expanding total economic output.

These (not awesomely formated) graphs show the price and production level for Wood. You can see supply was low, demand went up resulting in high prices. High prices lead to increased production. Increased production lead to a higher level of output and a lower price level.
Highest inflation in 30 years. No longer energy independent (and begging OPEC to up production).
