Who said there was no plan? These people knew for close to a year we were leaving. Remember, the original date was May 1st, so they had an extra 3 months to leave. How many of these Americans are contractors making a boatload of money, who waited until the last minute in order to make as much as they could before the money grab was over?

Agree completely. It seems to me that we’ve said we’re leaving so many times and have set so many dates that we didn’t keep that no one actually planned on us leaving. That is a problem on its own, but not one that would have been solved by pushing the date back again.
Dumb answer. It was the government’s job to have a plan to get them out once they committed to actually withdrawing.

Why is it the government’s job to evacuate people who chose, not were forced, to remain there until the last minute? There’s something called an airline ticket. They had plenty of time to buy one and get out. It’s like those people who don’t evacuate when they’ve been given a week or more notice of a hurricane. Then they rely on police and other rescue workers to risk their lives saving them.
They also had plenty of notice to fill out the appropriate paperwork. It shouldn’t be a surprise many dragged their asses.
Imagine how many more people would have been screwed if we stuck to Trump’s original timeline. He even criticized Biden for not adhering to it.
Eh, I don’t know if I would trust the us military to expeditiously process paper work that needed to be coordinated with multiple other civilian agencies.
That said, there are other countries to flee to in the months leading up to this if you truly feared for your life.

We are also giving refugee status to many of the drivers, translators etc who worked for us before we brought our military home several years ago.

As for the primary yes because that’s what you do when you don’t hold the Presidency. We don’t have a lot of modern history with one term Presidents running again but they would have a primary.
I don’t think Trump runs in 2024 to be clear, but if he does he will win the primary with ease.

He’s not unintelligent, not by a long shot. I don’t like him… as a matter of fact I despise him (also hate Biden, many of his policies back in the day directly contributed towards the mass incarceration epidemic within America today, ditto with Kamela Harris ). But I think he’s a genius. If not… His IQ would likely be significantly above the norm.

I don’t know how he was 30 years ago, but right now I don’t think so. I don’t listen to anything he says and think significant IQ. He says things with conviction, but has countless errors in his speech and struggles to maintain anything resembling a train of thought. He struggles to answer many basic questions. He struggles even in softball interviews.
He managed to lose control of Congress and the Presidency which is almost unheard of simply because he doesn’t have any self control.
I’m not sure how anyone can read his nuclear rambling or wind rambling speeches and think he has a significant IQ. It’s easily as bad as anything Biden’s managed and people hammer him for his cognitive abilities often. Biden dominated him in the debates and he’s 4 years older. People talked about GWB like he was a 2nd grader and his speeches were way more impressive on the whole although he frequently had some interesting gaffes.
As I said I’m only speaking of his cognitive abilities while he was President and running for it.
