They have been around since 1967, so I think they are probably OK with their “gay” name.
So… you rep for them right? Be honest!
No need to stick up for them if they’ve been around so long and make such great products dude.
I beleive that they make some good products and would possibly try them myself. But their name is still prety damn metro.
No, sorry. I don’t need to rep for anyone. As I said earlier, their reputation stands on its own, as does any good supplement comapny. I was simply answering the question posed in the thread.
I just don’t understand why people refer to things (a company name in this case) in a homophobic fashion when they have something negative to say. What’s the point? Would you comment on a name of a company in a racist or ethnic fashion if you didn’t like them? If not, then why go the “gay” route?
If you don’t like the name of a company, that is up to you. But to use the term “gay” as a way to identify something in a negative fashion is just such an ignorant and insulting thing to do.
Maybe the person who came up with the company name named it after their daughter, wife, or grandmother. Or maybe that was their last name. Or maybe they just pulled it out of the sky. Frankly, I could pretty much care less what a supplement company is called - if it makes me healthier, then I’ll go with it. I’m not really interested in their sexual preference.

Actually, if I remember right, the name came from the fact that when the company was founded it was still based in California. Apparently (this is from hearsay) a lot of the pros back in the 60’s and 70’s were being paid to push Joe’s product and say how great it worked but were actually using Beverly International’s stuff.
When Sandy and Roger bought the rights to the company they moved their base of operations to Kentucky. They kept the name because BI’s reputation has been rock solid from day one.
