Im on pellets and I am due to have a reinsertion in 2 weeks. I am supposed to get a blood test to check my levels one week before (next week)
I am also due to donate a pint of blood.
I give blood every 7 weeks and this will be my 4th donation. My HCT and RBC are still borderline high, not dangerous, but they hover near the upper limit.
Should I donate the blood a couple days before the labs or a couple days after the labs?

Just curious why you say after.
Im afraid the doctor may refuse testosterone saying my HCT is too high, although hopefully its not.
Because you are dumping off your androgens–this will lower the amount of actual substance in your body and skew your results. Your body will make more blood but won’t make up for the lost T in that short of a time.
Your doc would be on drugs to take away your T for borderline high HCT.

Good point!
I never thought of that.
