This was a Darth Vader session - fueled by fear, hate and anger. And it wiped me out.

Finally got the body weight moving up again. This is the most volume I’ve done in a session in a long time (I know it’s not that much, but this isn’t how I usually train). Next week I’ll swap out some movements, start back at lower volume, and work up to this same workout over the next 5-6 weeks. Then move on to the next step in the long-term plan…

This was very low volume, but did a good job of wiping me out. The squats felt awesome. It was nice to return to low bar squats after the last six weeks of high bar. It also made my knee feel a lot better. Hamstrings were smoked after the SLDLs and Nordic curl finisher. Good training session to start this next block. My weight is still slowly increasing. 224 lb is the highest I’ve been in a few years. Legs and traps seem to be benefiting the most?

I just realized it was exactly a year ago I started this log. While I had been training for several years before starting the log, I am undoubtedly bigger and stronger than I was one year ago. While I don’t really follow much of the training advice/articles doled out by the site itself, I really do appreciate the encouragement of the folks in the forum.

While there is a lot of silly, condescending and arrogant behavior in a lot of the sections of this forum, I can honestly say I very much appreciate how encouraging and supportive the community in the “Training Logs” section is - and has been - to me.

I don’t engage much outside of my log, because I don’t think anybody should be taking advice from me on anything. But to those that check in on my log occasionally and chime in with encouragement, I would like to say a very honest “Thank you.”

My legs were very sore going into this and I did not want to do the front squats. But, I did.
