Better for the Party: "Many Voices" or "STFU"?

Not likely. My parents escaped actual hostile governments who’s names were specifically on the list of countries where asylum was granted pretty much by default. There was no court cases, just documentation.
My history on how I ended up in the U.S. is actually pretty long and complicated. It wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t what I would consider unfair. Deporting my family would have pretty much been a death penalty. They can’t and don’t just send you back when that is the stated policy of the countries you escaped from.

How about we both know this is bullshit and leave it at that.

Once again I will state that I don’t watch news on TV, unless there is something major going on. I don’t openly avoid MSM sources, I look at them on the internet, as well as other sources too. That is unless your definition of consuming MSM is TV only, then, yes, I avoid it like the plague. I want to either be entertained or learn something when I watch TV. The TV news annoys the crap out of me and makes me depressed.

Yup. And Hillary had the MSM behind her, 2 Presidents rallying for her, one of them being a popular sitting president, all of Hollywood and all of academia and who the hell knows what else going for her and she managed to lose to a misogynistic ego maniac who should have lost to her in all 50 states.

Yet, he won. I am not sure if that says more about Hillary or more about Trump, but I think it says more about Hillary. The funny part to me, is Trump is who she wanted to win the GOP nomination because she thought he was the easiest to beat…

Oh I know. There’s no way my grandpa is getting what he wants. There’s too many liberals.

How about I was personally raised and taught to believe that Mexicans were likely gang members and/or drug dealers.

Get out of here with that bullshit wool over your eyes. Demonizing Mexicans isn’t new. It was all the rage during the Anti Walmart years. Feel free to look through his actual quotes if you’d like. There’s a ton of fun stuff about Hispanics that became rallying cries for white supremacists.

Once again I will state, the only people who consume any version of MSM, and still think Trump snuck the asylum change past ANYONE, clearly isn’t paying attention.

I’m fully aware of this. The President has created and is creating an environment where people who aren’t “lily white” are questioned about where they come from and their intentions. It’s a big part of the reason all the white nationalists got huge erections when he won. And he really hasn’t done a lot with his rhetoric to show they were wrong in celebrating his victory.

The thing is he doesn’t have gaffes as much as giant what the fuck statements. I mean politicians have long slipped up and made mistakes but he often says things that are beyond idiotic. Not slips of the tongue but a mind that isn’t working correctly. This isn’t as good as the speech I linked which is my all time favorite. Could be one the most incoherent wtf speeches in presidential history. Makes GWB look like JFK.

I appreciate your sentiment about how it is worse now. But people have always sucked regardless of the system in place. Rulers with power = x will always strive for x + 1.

Dude he was the easiest to beat…by far. She is one of the most disliked politicians of all time and had Democrats thinking she stole the nomination from Bernie. Trump is the only person she could have beat and the only person who she could win the popular vote against. He was the one Republican with her type of approval ratings. It says a lot about her but it says a lot about him as well. She was a historically awful candidate as was he. A matchup of the two least liked politicians for President in history.

He’s arguably the most unpopular President since we’ve been tracking it. And in the midst of a good economy and no real foreign policy nightmares. If he loses in 2020 it will be historic to defeat an incumbent with those factors going for him. And pretty much the one reason he isn’t popular is his horrid personality, lack of intelligence, and the way he acts towards anyone who doesn’t kiss his ass 24/7.

Very true and likely why every civilization in history has eventually collapsed or had multiple revolutions.

All this means is that the US voting base is getting dumber.
I mean the choice we had in the first place was laughable - Hillary vs Donald

No doubt about it…this…

I often wonder if deep down she knows this…or because it was such a stinging defeat to someone like Trump…she has convinced herself that it was “other” things.
.

Yeah you posted it before. I think I said it sounded like a cross between Springsteen and David Mamet.

Agree. @Basement_Gainz

As it stands; DEM turmoil is playing itself out as publicly as it possibly can. Either “The Squad” is so enamored with hearing themselves speak and hoping that all Americans would be “outraged” by Trump (far from it…many are passing-out/“Fuck-YEAH!” with joy over the things Trump says and does)…OR they frankly don’t give a damn.

Personally I think it is the former. They are young; naive; and quite frankly doomed to fail due to the weight of their own hype.

While at the same time the GOP is for the most part showing a united front by 1) Shutting the F*#K UP and 2) and kissing the ring of the King.

Do you believe the Dems are not masters of this? Serious question.
There can’t be one person voting across the aisle who doesn’t feel like this about Dems, other than non republicans like flake or amash.

House just voted 332-95 to table impeachment. So 95 Democrats aren’t following Nancy’s advice.

But they may be from really blue districts and want the “I voted FOR impeachment” feather in their cap.

My guess is that most (if not all) are in highly contested, VERY close districts.

In other words; not exactly the District’s that “The Squad” comes from.

(P.S. And/or realize that it’s just a dumb idea that will go nowhere. See below)

At this moment in history?

No.

…and so it goes…

A “smart” Democrat (like Nancy Pelosi) knows that impeachment of Trump 1) is an overall stupid idea 2) would never pass the Senate and 3) only emboldens Trump and his Minions.

It’s a lose/lose for the DEMS…and the “Progressive Wing” (whatever that means) doesn’t seem to understand that…

Lol. It’s something that never gets old reading.
