Indeed and I wouldn’t argue that polls this far out have a ton of value but they have much more value than me just saying Trump wins because I feel like he wins. At this point in time we can say according to data Democrats should see big gains in Congress and a better than 50% chance to win the White House.
The data that I think most matters right now is presidential approval rating history. Right now the data we have suggests Trump will have a hard time being above 45% approval. If he is in that area around election time it doesn’t mean he can’t win but it certainly means trouble. He’s the least popular president in history over time at least since we’ve had better polling.

Until this thing truly boils down to “Trump vs. X”…and Americans have to truly “take sides” (at least those who have not already decided)…the Polls (IMO) are maybe good for some discussion and for weeding out the DEM field.
