Autoimmune disease discovery could spark new treatments. Could? Is that definitive? Looks like you re applying a double standard here. A drug-like compound? So it can be patent and they can make money from it.
And isn’t it a shame adult stem cell therapy has shown great promise helping thousands of people with auto-immune diseases. And it works far better with far less side effects than drugs. But currently pharma can’t patent stem cells so people have to suffer while they limit their choice. Much like they tried to do with medicinal cannabis. I have no doubt they are working behind the scenes trying to patent a stem cell, but until this occurs it will be off limits to the public. They are complicit in the suffering of the public.
And isn’t it a shame that unless Big Pharma can make money off of these breakthroughs, they will probably never see the light of day.

So their discoveries are given or sold to pharma so they can make money from it.So how does money being spent negate the profits over people sentiment? Wow the money spent on cancer research! Maybe they can keep it holding at the number 2 killer. All the “good news” about cancer research has been going on for decades and we’ve been told essentially the same thing for as long. After almost 50 years in the war on cancer and about a trillion dollars spent on research and there still isn’t a cure. Any normal person would conclude that this is a big fail! Big Pharma may have high fail rates but that doesn’t essentially effect their billions in profits. I know that you’ve said you chuckle when people suggest that Big Pharma makes a lot in profits as you said their profit margin is only 17.1%. You couldn’t talk about the profit numbers because they were embarrassing to your argument. So you had to talk about margin’s to try and persuade people to your severely retarded conclusion.
