Yes!! This movie completely disturbed me when I saw it first, and at the time I’d never seen anything like it. shudders

The scariest thing in that film isn’t the zombies, but other people.

I liked that.

I’ve found my home.

Most of you have terrible opinions…but its still a home.

Just saw “Chain Letter”.

I’d much rather spend 5 bucks to see it than 7 bucks. Its a rental.

Going to the movie theater only costs you $7?

Oh and I gotta say Paranormal Activity was soul crushing haha!
that movie was awful. I would have been so pissed if I paid to see that in a theater.
There’s your problem…

In the theater was a completely different experience watching that movie than at home…

Everyone around you is tense and screaming and covering their eyes … Honestly, the movie didn’t “do it” for me either but watching it in the theater made me like the movie just based on the atmosphere and people’s reaction to the movie.
Doubt it, I’d probably be laughing at people that are scared at a movie that was NOT scary.
that’s my point … the reactions from people are priceless … it made the movie more enjoyable for me… come on JH where’s your reading comprehension at?

more like 9 bucks. Things are cheaper in North Carolina. Don’t hate.

meh. whatever. we have gyros.

To those that recommended The Orphanage - good rec! That was pretty disturbing, and well written. Thanks for that.

^Just wrote that movie on a post-it. It better be good

It has subtitles…are you sure you can handle that?

The subtitles annoyed me at first because I didn’t realize it was spanish. I figured that since the movie starts in the past that it would eventually go to English, it didn’t but the movie was worth reading. It wasn’t scary IMO but it was good.

Ummm no. I got enough to handle. Reading isn’t all that much fun either.

Perhaps you just need a little Argentinian lady to breathlessly translate the movie for you while you lounge on the couch intermittently playing scratch and sniff with your nut sack and munching on popcorn?

Just watch it Print…plus it will make you look all sophisticated-like.

Ummm… some of the movies being listed are hardly horror. Tremors is a comedy for fuck’s sake.

Watch Antichrist from 2009 with Willem Dafoe. If that movie doesn’t disturb you nothing will. The movie is a product of a sick mind.

Has anyone mentioned the Ring? For a rated PG movie, that was some good shit, especially when the girl crawls out of the TV at the end - the whole theatre I saw that in gasped. If you can get that reaction, you’ve done your job as a film-maker.

Zombie movies should be barred from consideration. I mean, come on.

If that Argentinian lady is breathlessly whispering it into my ear while doing the scratching, you’ve got yourself a deal. I’ve always enjoyed carpet munching over popcorn. Hope that isn’t a deal breaker?

^How’s that for sophistication?

I can’t recommend Pontypool enough. It’s best if you go into it with no idea what the plot is. Exceptionally well produced movie.
