Hey nice links,
so if I’m on a cutting diet, do you suppose the two cups choc milk, with some added whey would be the shiznit?
How would you compare that to adding a maltodextrin carb powder to your usual nonfat milk whey protein?
Trying to nail it while maintaining some semblence of low calories…
thanks, shred

Hi Dave,
not sure about what you mean, I get the chocalate milk is good, are you saying that you need much more in the pre workout shake than the post?
Yeah I wasn’t very clear on that. What I mean to say is that if typical “post workout drinks” are better if consumed pre workout, then choc. milk is FAR better if consumed pre, as opposed to post.

If so, how much would you add in each category to say 2 scoops of whey?
I wouldn’t combine choc. milk and whey. I’d use the former if supplementation wasn’t desired.

I usually toss in 5-6 grams glutamine and flax oil too. What do you think? thanks for the help, shred
It’s not ideal to consume fat if you’re trying to achieve high insulin levels, so I’d save the flax for later.
You may find it better to avoid CHO’s while cutting.
Just something to consider.

I would like to know if theres any prefered/popular high GI FOODS for post workout (not shakes).
and what about candy stuff, like chocolate bars, are they too “unhealthy” even if they provide some good amounts of high GI carbs ?
I like to slip this little goodie in after my post workout shake.
2 Large Rings of Pineapple
200 grams of rice cream
