Best Deodorant?

what do you guys think is the best deodorant? cuz ever since i turned 18 it seems like iv gotten stinker or something.my underarms are ad,

Believe it or not, high concentration tea tree oil is the best I’ve found.

Try a bunch of different ones, the best for me aint the best for you.

Old Spice High Endurance Pure Sport

Secret should work for you.

After all, “It’s strong enough for a man yet made for a woman.”

x2, that or the swagger scent.

Degree antiperspirant sport works well

just like training the humman body can become nonresponsive to deodorant the longer you use it. If you use the same kind a good amount of time your body basically becomes ‘immuned’ to that brand. It is best to get a different kind when you run out.

JUST FYI>

A helpful tip: buy unscented anti-perspirant/deodorant. I’ve found that it is usually the scented stuff that starts to smell worse than I would by the end of the day.

And make sure you aren’t just using deodorant- anti-perspirant is important.

I’ve used Old Spice Red Zone clear gel for at least 3 years and have never smelled like body odor. What you are saying may not apply to anyone and everyone.

Ive always been a fan of arm and hammer. Scentless brand is nice and arm and hammer has never once let me down. Ive put in upwards of 6 hours of training some days and my pits have always smelled perfect afterwards. Plus it’s one of the few brands that comes in scentless, so that if you do wear cologne or use a scented soap, the smells don’t mix up.

Ive even taken showers and forgotten to apply deodorant afterwards but still can get away with it because of the residual amount of DO left on me.

Back when I first starting getting severe BO in 5th grade, I tried out old spice. The shit didnt even last til the end of school. When I raised my hand to answer something a girl even told me how bad I smelled. Im sure the brand is better now, but every time Ive used it has been with bad results.

It may not stink but it’s still a good recommendation to switch deodarants around. Deodarants contain concentrations of chemicals they use are pretty toxic to the body, because their being applied to the skin it’s not as bad but it’s not good either.

OP it may help if you shave your pits a some also.

Buy some Certain Dry. You put it on the night before. It burns a bit the first few times you use it, but it works amazing. I live in Texas where it’s hot, combined with the fact I’m a heavy sweater. This stuff made it where I could stop wearing undershirts.

Axe Chocolate Body Spray Son!

Seriously though, I use the Degree solid stick and it works like a charm. The degree gel though? No good.

For me anyway, you might be different.

I would normally 2nd that but for as long as I’ve known my wife I’ve rocked the Old Spice Pure Sport & it drives her batshit happy.

Good to know she doesn’t need me wearing any fancy colognes :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously to the OP - experiment - have you tried any of the brands out there? I would go against going straight to the “CLINICAL” strength stuff they are pushing right now - you have to work up to that amount of aluminum… I forgot the rest…

In winter I use one of those “salt lick” deodorants. It’s really mineral salt. Works great.

Then in summer I switch to Degree.

I agree with what Airtruth said above about chemicals - especially when you consider you apply that shit under your arms every day for years and years!

Watch out for these!!

I used these in the summer mainly on my chest and back to get rid of that sweat smell (not underarm BO) that makes your shirts stink. The crystal deodorant worked extremely well in this regard. One day I tried using it for my pits, combined with my regular old spice. BIG mistake! Within two days a couple of huge rashes developed that eventually became open, agonizingly painful sores.

No way would I have combined the two, although I see what you were after.

Like I said, I alternate the 2 based on the season.

By the way, does your chest and back sweat really smell, as you describe?
I’m not aware of any odor in those areas on me, but I guess I should ask my wife.

For my career I have to wear a fully-tailored suit, dress shirt and tie everyday, regardless of temperature, no exceptions. I tend to sweat a lot and by about 2pm my shirts get a kind of faint “stale sweat” smell to them that those crystal deodorant things prevent
