Any suggestions for good Chillout / Trip-Hop artists/compilations?
Ideally something that sounds halfway between Groove Armada and Chemical Brothers, but I am always open to other good stuff like Llorca and St-Germain.

I prefer Merle Haggard & Johnny Cash, but that’s just me.

No problemo. I like to diversify my repertoire and I am in one of these expansion phases… for example, Nu-Bossa Nova was rather … original.
Some of my favorites:
Massive Attack
Leftfield
Thievery corporation
Tricky
Faithless
Morcheeba
Live
Keith Urban
Socialburn
Sublime
Hootie & The Blowfish
Smashing Pumkins
Oasis
OAR
U2
Check out a SoCal guy who infuses jazz, blues, funk with hip hop:
DJ Greyboy
Also check out:
311 (transistor album specifically)
Moonraker
I typically go with compilations. The Annuals are good.

Wow. Thanks! Indeed, all of the above are all good. The 2 links above correspond alot to what I appreciate. Not too mellow, not many vocals, groovy.

Jazz fans already know this guy. Very energetic music.
Sure, it`s not trip hop or chillout, but it is a very good substitute for background ambiance music.
