Best Breakfast Meal Besides Oatmeal?

Kashi cereal with milk. Over 20 grams of protein per serving.

I have 6-7 egg whites, 1 bowl granola with soy milk, 2 pieces wheat toast, 1 apple, bowl of spinach, and water. Fills me up and easy meal for me to get in college.

Are you joking. Or should I go ahead and waste a bowl of oatmeal and try it.

I’m on a Pizza Omelette kick.

Make an omelette of 6 egg whites, garlic salt, pepper and a dash water, beaten well, and transfer the completed omelette onto a plate. Top with a tablespoon or two of warm Contadina Pizza Sauce and a small sprinkle of lowfat mozzerella. Microwave for 15 seconds or so until the cheese is melted.

THIS MADE ME INSANLEY HUNGRY…

I want to start eating a healthy breakfast, but I’m not a big fan of oatmeal. I can eat it every once in awhile but theres no way i can eat it everyday. Is there a healthy cold cereal out there than anyone can reccommend?
My girlfriend thought she couldn’t eat it every day either, until she tried mine! Now she loves it…

Start with a serving of oatmeal with a tablespoon of honey (antioxidants!). Throw in a half-cup or so of mixed frozen berries. Cook it up, then stir in a scoop of banana M-Drive. Yummy!

Blueberries are the champion of berries, so I sometimes buy a bag of mixed berries and mix them with a bag of blueberries for a super blueberry mix. You can also cut up some fresh fruit and throw it in there if you have the time.

If you insist on oatmeal check this out…I have this a lot:

Plain low fat yogurt
Milled flax seed
Greens + (berry flavour)
Vanilla Flavoured Grow!
Blueberries

Mix the above together and then top with dry, uncooked oatmeal.

It’s like having desert at breakfast time…tastes great. Seriously nutrition packed as well.

I def recommend trying berries in your oatmeal , specifically blueberries. Makes it sweeter and easier to swallow. Splenda or a lil bit of brown sugar helps otherwise. Give it a try, makes a big difference.

I got tired of oatmeal too. I like the Hodgson Mill Oat Bran. It’s good with some raisins, walnuts, and a little brown sugar.

super micks super breakfasts: -

1 - mix plain whey or vanilla protein powder in 300ml of water.

2 - Add to 75-100g oatmeal.

3 - Microwave for 2.30 minutes

add cinnamon and nutmeg. Tremendous. This dish alone, i believe has turned me into even more of a sexual tyranosaurus than before…

100g whole wheat/whole meal flour
50 gram oats
50g plain or vanilla protein powder
3 eggs (1 yolk)
Milk (Add to make a batter)

Use a large frying pan and fry in olive oil/ coconut would also be ok. These make English pancakes. Not the fluffy american ones. Finish with an unprocessed simple carb - maple syrup!!

And yes chinadoll, id cook these for you afterwards. ;o)

Personally I like to eat beans on toast, typically one can on two pieces of toast. Sometimes I put mayo on the toast, its not ideal for those cutting. Wash it down with a cup of tomato juice and about two cups of milk and all that provides about 48g of protein. By cups I mean a cup of not the bizaar American measurement.

Alternatively, bacon, eggs and black pudding. What is black pudding ? If you need to ask, you don’t deserve to know.

Thanks for all of the replies guys. I guess two things I forgot to mention were:

A. I’m going to be starting up the T-Dawg Diet, so I need to use carbs in moderation.

and

B. I don’t like eggs :frowning:

So you guys have given me some great suggestions, but if anyone has any more let me know!
I take three scoops of banana or vanilla Metabolic Drive and mix in just enough 2% milk to get a thick pudding. I would guess about 3/4 cup. Then add a handful of walnuts (probably 1/3 cup). That is about 690 calories, 73 grams of protein and only about 14 grams of carbs. You can up the walnuts if you need cals, and you can use COLD water in place of milk if you want to drop the carbs even more.

Sometimes I add a cut-up banana.

If you wanted a higher carb variation, cook several cups of rice at the start of the week and drop it into the protein pudding. You can also stir 1-2 cups of the protein directly into oatmeal.

And I also have been taking 6 fish oil capsules for the last two weeks and I feel like it is having positive effects.

Egg White Omelet with Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms and (low fat) Chicken Sausage

I usually make this for breakfast every morning. I cook the onions, peppers, and mushrooms in a big batch on Sunday night so I have enough for 5 omelets for the week.

Then I cut up the chicken sausage (15g protein, 4g fat, 3 carbs) and put it in the microwave with some of the already cooked veggies, while my 3 egg whites cook in the non stick pan.

If I’m really feeling daring I add a slice of fat free cheese to the omelet before I close it up.

Since the person that started this thread was asking about cold cereal…

Try some Puffed Kamut or Millet with some Vanilla Metabolic Drive mixed with water as the milk. I love Kamut it has a kind of nutty flavor and stays crunchy pretty long. It is high in fiber and low in calories as long as you purchase the Puffed Kamut without the sugary coatings on them. Fiber 1 is good too.

I usuallly make some scrambled eggs, two slices of whole wheat organic sprouted grain toaste, then I put the eggs on the toaste, and add some ketckup.Very palatable.

Wash it down with some raw milk, ahhh!

I know of this one recepie I usually cook on saturday mornings before going to the gym.
It’s a Irish breakfast recepie.
It’s what a lot of my cousins cook when I go over there.

Fry 2 eggs(add cheese if you’d like)

Cook up one irish sausage(they’re HUGE)

Bake some home style BBQ beans

Add two slices of toasted bread(and ketchup if you’d like)

This is one of my favorite breakfasts(besides pancakes).

Seriously, you guys crack me up sometimes.

The dude said:

 1. I want some alternatives to oatmeal
 2. I don’t like eggs
 3. I’m looking for a cereal

And what does he get??? A crapload of oatmeal recipes and egg variations.

Now, granted, his options are limited when eliminating these two groups… I don’t know what the hell I’d eat for breakfast without my precious oats or eggs!

But it’s almost humorous how you guys “answer” his question!

p.s. – Dude, my advice to you is either a REALLY high fiber cereal (to avoid too many carbs) or just start eating lunch/dinner foods for breakfast. (IE chicken, tuna, etc.) Not many other choices!

There are some really good organic cereals that are full of fiber and not the refined sugar.
I usually eat them with some raw milk.

So,lets looks at your options:

You don’t eat much eggs, and you pretty much hate oatmeal(just admit it)

There are protein pancakes you can make, which are high in protein and can be palatable.

There are some good organic/high fiber cereals you can try(I’m sure your local store sells them since the organic market has gone up quite a bit)

You can make a fruit and yogurt parfait (which is really good)

You can make some smoothies,if you’re on the run

I’m sure you have an imagination.
Make some recepies or something.

Both are great ideas!

Do a search for protein shake/smoothie recipies. I like to mix Strawberry Metabolic Drive with a crapload of berries (yay, antioxidants!) and some splenda.
