Thanks! I’m really gunning for 405 lbs. I think I can do it, and I’ve been pressing a lot. Got 390 lbs two weeks ago, but missed 405.

So I’ve been a bit under the weather lately. A lot more on Sunday and Monday. I skipped those training sessions to recover a bit faster. Still not :100:. Good enough to train though. Hoping I didn’t get the Rona.

Yesterday I did a bit shortened deadlift day.

Deadlift 425 plus 90 in chains (about half the chain lifted) 5x5
Narrow bench with shoulder saver 275 5x10
Chin 3x10
Dip 3x10

After this workout, I’ll be back to the regular training.

I had the Rona about a week and a half ago - it started with a cough and less than 24 hours later I basically couldn’t be bothered to leave my bed. Was recovered and back to work within 3 days (unvaccinated) and working out again by day 5. My daughter caught it first and she was over it in about 4 days, my wife caught it and took 6-7 days to get back to training.

IF it is the Rona, just do all the normal shit you’d do for a cold. Stock up on cough drops/cough medication, get some pedialyte, and get some sleep.

Nice pull on deadlifts though!

Yeah, there were no symptoms that were not cold like. Headache, sore throat, stuffed up, and fatigue. I guess some of the variants are very similar to the cold though. My wife had it too, and tested negative for the Rona.

I’d say I’m about 90 percent now. I think by tomorrow that I’ll be close to normal.

I did all that stuff. DayQuil and NyQuil helped a lot. Just don’t like not training on blast.

Made up a little missed work yesterday. Just volume belt squat and some arms.

Today I benched.

Bench 320 5x5
Narrow bench 280 3x8
Belt squat 425 3x5
Chin up 3x11
Dip 3x13

Pretty good work today. I’m liking the gradual progression.

How long are you into a blast and how do you feel about it? Getting what you wanted?

I’m up about 20 lbs, and only a little more fat. Strength is up. Regained so my pressing strength after the injury and actually surpassed it. Was still expecting a little more tbh. I’m about 12 weeks in I think. Was gonna run 20 weeks, but I think just until the end of January. Finish with 4 weeks of tbol.

Sounds pretty good. What will you do after?
Do you plan on getting a 405 bench on till the end of the blast?

I plan on cruising again. Toying with the idea of 250 mg/wk. Not sure yet. I’m going to try to get the 405 bench at the end. Something I really want.

Not sure how much difference an extra 75 mg/wk would do?

Was pretty good. Kinda bodybuilding style with the volume.

My cholesterol is almost identical on 250 test and 300 test with 100 npp. And BP also. I guess you can also just check and see.

Pulled the trigger on a new BP monitor from Amazon. I got the Omron Platinum. It was the nicest one from Omron I could find there. Don’t go thinking I am rich though. Was only like $75.

I just don’t trust my off brand one (also from Amazon). It is just all over the place. Sometimes great (120/75), sometimes very shitty (145/90), and these can be minutes apart. I just don’t trust it. I’ve heard from numerous people just to get an Omron, and be done with it.

TBH, I am a little afraid of where I am. Watching some YouTube on how to get the best measurements. I’ll stop the blast if I am actually on the high side. I have no idea though. I kinda suspect it’s on the higher end. I don’t have any redness that is associated with high BP, and heart rate is low.

We will see. Might be dropping down to cruise, because I don’t want to be a stubborn idiot. Depends on results.

If it’s high, I’ll probably start some BP meds. My source has telmisartan, which I have researched a bit. Seems too good to be true from what I have read so far. I’d probably run that on cruise for a bit if I am really high BP now. It is supposed to correct cardiac remodeling to an extent if that occurs.

I’ll also incorporate more cardio. I’ll do that even if normal BP. Been feeling like it’s needed lately. Heavy sets have really been taking a while to catch my breath on.

Just using this as a place to document my thoughts. If you have any insights on taking good BP measurements, BP meds, or other comments, I’d love to hear!

Post booster shot deadlifts was tough.

Deadlift with 90 in chains 435 bar weight 5x5
Narrow bench with shoulder saver 280 5x10
Dips 3x14
Cable row 150 3x10
Curl machine 40x15 30x12
Triceps push down 120x22 80x15

Was dragging today. Still happy with the session. Deadlifts in chains was performed while listening to God Smack by Alice in Chains. Or at least one set was. Didn’t occur to me that the song is a reference to a lethal dose of heroine.

It is normal that the first reading is higher. You are supposed to sit in a correct position and NOT watch or listen to anything for a few mins to take BP. It usually drops around 10 points in few mins for me. But if something good comes up in youtube it can go up. Like i havent watched wwe for years and i watched this “10 best somethingsomething” and a clip i remembered from childhood came up and BP was back up 10 points cuz that clip hit the feels  the very first reading usually is 8-10 points higher. But if you were just walking or doing anything physical, first reading will be even higher. There are many things that impact BP - leg position. Food in stomach. If you need to pee etc. If im sleeping on a couch and doing nothing for a while my bp is really low.

Yeah, BP measurements are supposed to be the best possible conditions measurements. I usually do them right when I wake up. No stimulants, food, activity. My monitor is still all over the place.

I think BP is something gear users should have a good understanding of, and have as good of measurements as possible. BP can impact heart, and kidneys. Two big things gear users need to protect.

I have inlaws that are really into wrestling. I watched some of the old stuff with them over Christmas. It is fun! We watched a pretty good match with Brett Hart. He pulled off a pretty good forehead cut while down on the ground. Very bloody. The AAS induced high BP probably helped lol.

Wrestling and music were both better in the 90s.
