My Thoughts, Reflections, Personal Feedback:
The deadlifts were a pretty good finisher, that’s for sure. Too tired to type more, might update in future.
I have flirted with death and now I come out a better man. Alright, excuse my dramatization of my little minor achievement. Walked for 45 mins-ish, thrice around the apartment complex near my area with a 20kgs weighted vest. Pretty much felt like dying during the last round. By the time I reached home, I could barely raise my arms high enough to insert the key into the key hole thing. Traps feeling a massive pump. Traps were already somewhat sore before I started the walk and now they pretty much look like tumours.
My Thoughts, Reflections, Personal Feedback:
Gym was really crowded today, workout went mostly fine. Was supposed to deadlift 120kgs x5 but I figured I felt good for 140kgs.
Joined my school’s strongman club training and did a bunch of tyre flips and some farmer walks. Having trouble typing this as we speak, forearms cramping up from the farmers. Well, fuck me. Change of plans. There’s a strongman competition for freshman coming up on the 17th of October. I’ll probably have to readjust my programming in preparation for the competition.
The 3 events are:
180kgs Tyre Flips for 15 metres. Roughly 12-16 flips.
60kgs per hand Farmers Walk for 20 metres.
100kgs Deadlift AMRAP in 60 seconds
I’ll be competing under the 85kgs category.
You might want to hit up Punisher as I think he is strongman competitor.
Exactly what I was thinking of actually. Slight(actually it’s quite a big deal) change of plans again though, the competition has been moved to December. I guess I’ve more time to train. I’ll probably drop him a message later on.
Definitely hit me up as you get closer. That doesn’t look like it will be too difficult to train for in terms of programming. Although I AM absolute crap at the tire flip, haha.

Thanks man! It means a lot to me to know that you’ve actually read my training log! Big fan of your blog and YouTube content.
Pretty much went to the gym to mess around, worked up to a 135kgs and 150kgs squat, both for singles. Depth on the 150 looks somewhat sketchy. Squatting with converses instead of my oly shoes just cause.
135kgs
150kgs
Did some incline dumbbell bench press and did some decently heavy olympic presses cause a friend asked me to join in.
Will be heading to the gym in another 5-6 hours (12pm as I’m writing this) to help “coach” 2 of my lady friends who have no experience lifting(quarter squats don’t count). Speaking of which, I’ve been trying to read up more on strength training for their sport, Dragonboat, its kinda like canoeing but way different.

Oh and I didn’t break a sweat today so I guess its fine.
Depth on the 150 kg was sketchy but apart from that it looked better than some of your previous squats. I really think you squat better in flats. Just drive your head into the bar more.
Like I said, went back to the gym to help out the ladies, they seem to be doing fine with most of the lifts. Surprisingly well actually. Worked up to a 140kgs single squat and for some weird reason I was looking down wayyyy too much when I was squatting. Felt a bit off during that gym session to be honest.

Yeap, now that I’ve been trying more squats in flats, I’m starting to think so too. I think I’ll just restrict the oly shoes to cleans and front squats for now. Will try benching in them in comparison to flats to see if they make a difference for my setting up.
I don’t know if I’m stupid or maybe I’m just crazy. Probably a mix of both. Wasn’t exactly feeling really well today, a bit of sore throat and a my nose is kinda blocked. So guess what? I decided I would go to the gym and deadlift 100kgs for 50 reps cause… Why the hell not? I got maybe the first 20-ish in a minute and spent the remaining 9 minutes or so getting the rest. Oh and did I mention that today was supposed to be my rest day? I’m pretty darn stupid. On the bright side, I won’t be doing any lower body movements tomorrow so that should be a-okay. On a plus side, I might work with touch and go deadlifts cause they actually feel pretty decent and I feel like I’m doing more work. Taking a page out of T3hPwnisher’s playbook I guess. and yes, I know that there are other lifters out there who do touch and go deadlifts too.
the full uncut video if you like watching someone breath heavily, walk around too much and barely deadlift much
a sped up version cause ain’t nobody got time for that
EDIT: watched the video and I did 7 in the first 10 seconds, now, if I can keep up that pace for a full minute, that would be pretty darn good.
My Thoughts, Reflections, Personal Feedback:
Feeling them deadlifts still, workout was pretty ok. Probably could’ve gotten the last 4 reps for the legless touch and go bench but whatever. Was supposed to get more sets in on the hammer curls but I was feeling tired and wanted to leave the gym early.
LATER IN THE DAY
Went to the gym to help out a lady friend with her gym stuff and since I was there, worked up to 140kgs squats for 2 singles.
My Thoughts, Reflections, Personal Feedback:
Morning session didn’t exactly feel optimal, cut most of the volume of the assistance work into half, probably just tired.
Went to the gym to help my lady friends out, didn’t really do much. Did some incline dumbbell presses while waiting for the squat rack and worked up to a single of 130kgs on the squat since everyone was resting between their sets. Nothing much to report today.
Olympic Press 20kgs x5
Olympic Press 30kgs x5
Olympic Press 40kgs x5
Olympic Press 50kgs x3x7
Squat 60kgs x5
Squat 100kgs x1
Squat 120kgs x2
Squat 140kgs x6
Did a bit of other accessory but I’m not going to write them down cause honestly, I wasn’t feeling it and they were all pretty half assed.
My Thoughts, Reflections, Personal Feedback:
A little tired, maybe I should actually rest on my rest days. Or maybe I’m not getting enough food in. Hitting 4k calories on a daily ain’t easy for me. Oh and those were possibly the ugliest squats I’ve ever done but whatever, training is training, so long as I’m getting work done, its fine. I wanted to get 10 reps in but I didn’t. Pretty sure, it can be seen, me contemplating whether to go on. Pretty sure I could’ve grinded out 4 more reps but nah, I’m just not feeling it today. Don’t really feel like training to be honest.
Be really careful with that not wanting to train feeling. Combined with not really resting on your off days and possibly not getting enouuh calories you may be verging on under recovering.
Take a step back and just do what your program has set out. Not all work is good work beyond a certain point.
My Thoughts, Reflections, Personal Feedback:
Really loving the touch and go deadlifts. Deadlifts were done from a 1-2 inch deficit cause school gym has crappy ass plates
