Not at all. This is great stuff!
7WP, TM Test - d4
Wednesday - 15 December 2021
Workout: Easy conditioning, 0750-0845 (55 minutes)
25 1-pump burpees + 24-kg KB swings
Weighted vest walk - 28 kg - 35 minutes
25 1-pump burpees + 24-kg KB swings
Fasted. Was supposed to get my COVID booster yesterday afternoon so that all I’d have to get in was today’s WV walk if it hits me funny, but the pharmacy rescheduled it for today. Really hoping the shot doesn’t even phase me, because deadlifts are on tomorrow’s docket.
Regardless, I hereby reserve the right to shift things around if I’m feeling like crap tomorrow.
Also, funny thing: I’ve been staying up later and later the past several nights in an attempt to sleep past 0500, but my plan has totally backfired: still waking up like usual, so I’ve just ended up in a nice little sleep deficit instead. (But we’re still doing the work, aren’t we @oldnattychris?) Anyway, last night I finally crashed and went to bed before my kids. And yes, I was up about 0500 this morning but not feeling terrible, so maybe that’ll just be a reset to my previous schedule…
Yes we are! ![]()
I don’t know what’s up with my sleep either. You’d think with all this activity, we’d sleep like the proverbial rock — you, particularly!
But clearly the body has other ideas sometimes and simply refuses to be reasoned with.
19 years of marriage and still this jacked… Really beating stereotypes out here, haha.
No need to highlight this and make the rest of us feel bad. ![]()
@Koestrizer - Thanks, my man! Of all the many blessings in my life, the 19 years with my wife tops the list. Still looking jacked, as you say, is a close second, haha.
@simo74 - Says the guy who casually bangs out 500 burpees like a week after starting to do them—dude, you’re jacked and you know it!
Besides, red shoes. ![]()
I thought you were a lover of the red shoe.
Oh yes, I am! That’s the real reason either of us are jacked: it’s the shoes, of course.
You could actually be right. Maybe we should start a dodgy infomercial detailing the gainz that occur from the use of the red gym shoes. Buy one shoe get one free !
Geez you two, get a room or something.
Come on all you need is to get some red gym shoes and you too can have the gainz you have been longing for:joy:![]()

Nah that’s okay, it’s enough that I now have to picture the both of you in just your red shoes and your tighty whities, oiling eaching other down and posing for each other.
I want to hit the ‘like’ button but I just… I can’t.
Solid work brother. Proud of you. Onwards and upwards
Let’s fuxking go
Thanks, man! That’s high praise coming from you. I appreciate you dropping in.

COVID jab, super swollen shoulder, poor night’s sleep, some lethargy, and a rep PR with the deadlift. Not a bad way to spend the past 22.5 hours, haha.
Like all of me this morning, the pulls moved slowly, but they were clean. Grip didn’t quite fail, but I took a split second to reset it between reps 3 and 4. Going to put off straps for at least one more cycle.
Managed to not pass out after that top set, but I was definitely lightheaded. Normally I like to bang out the daily burpees + swings right after lifting during these TM test weeks, but putting it off to get some more food and some water was the smart play this morning. Planning to just update this entry later once that daily work is complete—it won’t be long, I promise.
Edit: Added burpees + swings now that they’re done. Less than 10 minutes from the time I put on my shoes and went downstairs until I was back up and had them off again.
Anytime my man. Keep going. This shit does not stop
Nobody made you, dude … But I get it.

Not bad: shoulder’s still swollen and the inflammation seems to have settled into my joints, but I slept a bit better and set another rep PR on the bench this morning. Decent reps overall, even if the last one moved a little slowly.
I’ll be using the top set weights for all of the lifts this week as TMs for the first Forever BBB cycle—I know I can hit the required weights for 5 reps on the main lifts (and those for the supplemental at 10 reps as well), but I’m going to need to check my ego moving forward: only the press was super solid this week, while each of the other lifts left something to be desired. I may need to double-back on some of those TMs in the second cycle, or maybe the anchor or something.
Solid bench and dead lift PRs in here.
