Main work in 23 minutes, supplemental in 14 minutes, assistance superset throughout.

With that work behind me, there’s just one more lifting workout left to go in God Sven is a Beast!

Everything felt strong today: The last set of squats was just perfect, and all the bench work was dialed-in!

I did 250x8 in April 2022 and 265x6 a few weeks later in May 2022, so technically I only needed 7 to slot right in between there, but I wanted 8 and I got 8. The last rep was maybe a bit slow, but solid: Definitely not a grinder!

Not much else to say, really, so we’ll leave it there for now!

That top set means I went 4 for 4 this week!

Needed 8, wanted 9, got 9. There might’ve been a 10th in there, too, but I could feel it getting pretty hard around rep 7 or 8, and I didn’t want to let it get ugly for the sake of greed: They were all super-solid reps. I pulled 350x8 back in December 2022, so today is a +5 lbs and +1 rep increase over that. (Oh, and straps on for the tops set, but only the top set.)

And I could see a vein in my left trap popping—trap veins: That’s always something special, haha!

Rest of it was solid, too—in fact, I realized that the supplemental work this week, though the heaviest of this cycle, was almost an afterthought after all these PR sets—but there’s no doubt I’m straight up tired here on the other side of it.

Onward and upward!

Maybe should’ve stopped the coffee a bit earlier this afternoon: I managed 11+ calories/minute tonight, and I was really only pushing the last 60-65 seconds, once I realized it was within reach.

(I’ll probably regret it tomorrow when I’m in the middle of that EMOM, though—haha!)

Standing calf raise - BW - 3 minutes
Reps: 132

Tabata burpee - 8x(20 on/10 off)
Reps: 8x5 (40 total)

EMOM - 15 minutes
Cluster - 115 lbs - 3

Actually feeling pretty good today—just need to manage my activity v. recovery carefully over the next few days: If I let up too much, I’ll crash, and I definitely can’t afford that as I head into the next few weeks. (Not that there’s ever a “good” time to crash…)

As it is, I’m happy to be done with that one!
