Looking strong!! Looks like your squats are doing great lately
@george220 - Thanks, man! I’ve been feeling pretty good lately (all things considered), and the weights are moving up—that’s never a bad combination!

Good day! Legs are toasty—as much from the bike as from the squats—but aside from some extra burn on those BSS reps, I was charged and ready to go!
We’re walking holiday lights this evening, so I’m expecting a late dinner and maybe pushing the post-dinner walk to Saturday. (We’re out-of-town all day Saturday, though, so maybe not…) We’ll get it done, though, one way or the other!

Ugh! I said to my wife on the way home last night, “I should just have a shake and go to bed,” but did I listen!?! Nope.
And I paid the price: Slept terribly and woke up feeling just awful. That feeling passed quickly enough, but here I am over 7 hours later and the fatigue is still with me.
I could feel it in today’s work, too: I did alright in the end, but it was a fight from start to finish.
Oh, and because I’m whining: As much as I hate the sled, I love what it does to my body, but the weather just won’t cooperate! The snow is gone, yes, but it’s just been replaced by rain or wintry mix… Alas, it is what it is.
Onward and upward!
@antiquity - That’s a classic, for sure! I’m thinking that was meant for your log, though.
This EXACT thought process happens to me as well! JUST HAVE THE SHAKE AND GO SLEEP!….so much harder than it sounds lol
Sorry about that!

Tuesday - 23 December 2025
Workout: Easy conditioning, 1800-1830 (30 minutes)
Walk - 30 minutes
That’s better!
I love your log. Just so you know.
I’m usually in bed when I have my last meal and most nights I sleep pretty good
@DJoftheJungle1 - It’s funny how listening to yourself can be the hardest thing, even when it’s easy.
@antiquity - Not a problem!
@BethB - Thanks! Though I’m curious: What makes you say that? From where I sit, it’s a pretty boring, predictable log from a boring, predictable dude. (Just ask Mrs. SvenG, haha!)
@george220 - When I was young, my superpower used to be eating at any time of night—or maybe all hours of the night. But as I’ve aged, I find I’m more and more sensitive to WHEN I eat, even if WHAT I eat is a solid choice. ![]()
Your log is always so upbeat and positive! Even if you’ve had a rough day or a crap workout you always have such a positive outlook on it. It makes it hard to be grumpy when I read your log. ![]()
Wow, thanks for that! It’s cool to hear it comes across that way.
How old are you Sven?
I’m 47.
I’ll be 44 in January, so I ain’t far behind you lol
I’ll be 47 in February. Lots of folks in my advanced age group here. Lol
