Beach Book Recommendations?

I recommend anything by Dan Brown as well. Entertaining and pretty easy to read/enjoy.

They are pretty thick, but Shogun and Taipan by James Clavell are both really good stories set in feudal Japan and colonial Hong Kong, respectively. Swashbuckling stuff, and you learn a lot about the Japanese and Chinese cultures, too.

His books are entertaining to read and they are fiction. I don’t know if the above is true, but it’s not like he’s the only person to lie, and then lie about lying.

Christopher Moore anyone? Practical Demonkeeping, The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove, and The Stupidest Angel makes a nice little series.

if you want short books that are a great read pick up Something from the Nightside, first of the Nightside series by Simon R. Green. just read the first one and you’ll be hooked.

There are two anthologies by George R.R. Martin, “Warriors” and “Rogues” or something.

Have not read the second one but the first one should qualifiy as beach reading,

Anything by Carl Hiassen. Bad Monkey and Tourist Season are personal favourites.

I’m a fan of Stephen King’s stuff. The Stand, IT and Pet Sematary are a few of my favourites, but they’re all fairly long so if you’re looking for something shorter you could pick up some of his short story collections. I’m not sure why people are shying away from longer books tbh.

I love Strip Tease. a bouncer with a weed wacker in a gay bay was genius.
