Didn’t do any more sets of either because I needed to run, and today was one of the first days the weather was good and the streets weren’t covered in ice and snow.

My squats need a lot of work so I’m just gonna take some advice that I’ve read in some other threads and hammer my front squats and get those up.

Bar x10 left shoulder felt a little weird so I did a few more sets
55x5
95x3
first working set of 115 I was supposed to hit 3 I did 1 it was easy but my should still felt weird so I decided to just skip the whole workout. That makes me feel like a pussy but i’d rather miss one training session now then end up fucking something up and not being able to train for a month.
I did run 3 1/4 sprints or just running as fast as I could
1:27 seconds
2.1:44
1.39
I have an upcoming physical test with a 1.5 mile run for a job so I gotta keep running

Could you explain your 5/3/1 layout to me? congrats on the big squat PR[/quote]
Thanks. I started out just doing the original 5/3/1 sets and reps and going for a PR on the last set. This cycle I’ve started doing the FSL from beyond 5/3/1 I just try and throw in a few asst lifts. I do my Squats on MON bench on wed and deadlifts and press on Friday.I probably don’t do everything by the book but and I’m open to any advice.

I wasn’t questioning your plan, I was just comparing it to mine. I don’t run 5/3/1 by the book at all either, which is why I love it, so flexible. I will never call someone out who is a helluva lot stronger than I am. Keep on keepin on

I wouldn’t say helluva a lot stronger. But I think a lot of lifting no matter what program you run is just figuring things out for yourself and what works for you. I also think sometimes the less you read and watch on youtube the better of you can be.
