You don’t read DC, obviously, Wol.

Supes got his ass handed to him by a dead Superman Kal-L.

Black Lanterns are ruining the shit of all.

Supes is in his own little world, has been for a while. New Krypton. Hell, Mon-El, the guy allergic to lead so bad bullets fuck him up worse than regular people, has been running his book.

Batman just watched the first human die. Stuck in the many long past.

Wonderwoman’s getting pwned by Grendel.

Marvel’s got their Necrosha X - We’re Not Copying Darkest Night, Honest series about to kick off.

DC > All.

Ok, what about Superman Prime? Didn’t the entire DC universe fight him and still lose. And then it took the combined ever of two Supermans to beat one Superman?

Superboy Prime, but yeah. I believe he was encased by the Green lanter corps and then had a planet’s worth of kryptonite placed around him. I think that was in Countdown.

It takes the entire GL corp to jail him, but it took 2 Supermans to take down one Superman. Why even call it DC Comics. Just call it “Superman/Batman Inc”.

But I can’t judge. I don’t read enough DC.

Hahaha, fucking owned!

Batman could give Wolverine some GHB then slide him into an MRI scanner. That would honestly kill him.

Superboy Prime is the ultimate “fuck you” to DC Comics fans.

He brought back Jason Todd in the suckiest way possible.

He did the aforementioned ass-reaming.

He was in the fucking Sinestro Corps.

There are just a few writers at DC making it what it “should” be. What it should be, apparently, is the fucking 80s. Barry Allen back, Wally West WTF, Hal Jordan not dead. Some of this sucks ass.

sigh

My biggest hope for them is Blackest Night getting shit into a standard working order.

But Johnny DC > Marvel Zombie.

Based on Superboy Prime’s immunity to Kryptonite, the yellow sun suit he wears, and the fact that he is bat shit crazy, there is no way he should have been beaten. He had god level strenght.

They could stop riding Supes’s nuts and create a villain not based on Superman.(Like the Black Lanterns).

Prometheus, Hush . . . both “anti-Batman” characters.

Fuck, if you want great, GREAT comics, read Secret Six. Hands down, one of the five best books being put out.

Bane, Catman, Deadshot, Scandal Savage, Rag Doll, and that crazy chick.

Excuse a non reader for butting in, but how many comics do you guys own?

I’m guessing hundreds or more likely thousands?

I have no urge to count.

A fucking lot, though. I hang up all my clothes so I can store a bunch in my dressers. Closet is quarter-full, and it’s a walk-in.

Ms.Marvel should still be dead considering Rogue killed her. I don’t think Ms.Marvel was too strong. She’s like the Marvel version of Wonder Woman.

Thanks for reminding me, I have to go to Barnes and Noble to read up on how Wolverine’s character has progressed. I’ll never understand why they put him in every book.

I really hope he goes away. I hate Sentry. And I hope he takes Wolverine with him.

Why DC sucks: You have bad ass characters like Firestorm, Green Lanterns, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Captain Atom, and Captain Marvel. Every character mentioned has a power base like Superman or beyond Superman. Each has amazing powers, but they always lose a fight and need Supes to save them.[/quote]

Ms Marvel was a cosmic level superpower in her Binary form. Now she has come back down the power scale to Ms Marvel level. Don’t waste your money on the Wolverine stories, buy the Ms Marvel trades. Better hero, better art, better stories. And if the Wolverine stories are written by Daniel Way, just put it back on the shelf. Wolverine never shuts up and his inner monologues are as long as the Great Wall of China.

I’m a little behind on my DC reading, only now starting 52: Volume 1. I agree that many of DC’s characters, especially Captain Atom and Firestorm, get the short end of the stick. Firestorm died by getting stabbed with a sword, seriously that was wrong in so many ways. Anyways, everyone looks up to Superman because he is the embodiment of Hope and represents the penultimate character everyone aspires to be. Whether he or his comics live up to that role is debatable.

Superman-Prime / Superboy-Prime is essentially equal in power to silver-age Superman. In Infinite Crisis, Con-El vs Supes-Prime Round 1, those that fought Superboy-Prime and died were mostly former Teen Titans, unpowered/human heroes, and guys fighting waaaay outside their level.

Again in Infinite Crisis Supes-Prime vs GL Corps. Supes-Prime killed a lot Green Lanterns but the GL Corps is almost completely full of rookie Lanterns. For many that was their first fight as Lanterns. The only two veterans there was Guy Gardner and Hal Jordan. Those fights had barely begun before the two Supes came in like cannonballs and carried Supes-Prime away.

Except he fights like a complete idiot. Can’t stay focused on anything but the guy in front of him, and has zero situational awareness. He was doomed to lose.

Gail Simone and Ed Benes run on “Birds of Prey”. Excellent stories, witty dialogue, beautiful women.

The debate has been settled:
