Then that’s not short. Some of us have jobs. Guys who can sit there for five hours during a work week clearly do not. You can beat almost any game in a few days if that is ALL you do all day.
If it takes those types more than two days to beat it, then it can’t be that short or easy. Either that or their power got shut off in their mom’s basement.
Hahhaha. That used to be me! But very true. I just know if I buy it tonight I will put some pretty decent time into it over the course of the weekend.
Did you pick it up X? I feel like it would be right up your alley based on your list of games.
From what I read here, it will be picked up the next time I hit Wal-Mart or Target.

My roommate probably spent more than 12 hours playing it. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m nearing 8 or 9 with a couple of more to go. I mean, you could probably blow through it in 5-6 hours, but a big part of the game is exploring and getting collectibles. If you’re worried about the length, play on hard instead of normal.
picked mine up too. Have only put about an hour into it though. Playin on the hardest level and I am still getting the controls down. Tomorrow when I get back from the gym I will probably put a good chunk of time into it.
I’ve been playing for like 8 hours and I’m still only a little over half-way through. The way the developers set up the Riddler challenges is fucking brilliant.
I’ve probably spent twice that time playing the challenge maps. Fighting 20 guys, some armed with knives, pipes, and guns, and being able to beat them all in a seamless, highly animated combo is sheer fucking brilliance.
This game is bad ass. I was looking for something to replace the hole that Infamous left and this is it. I don’t see anything being better than this until God of War comes out. the dark atmosphere makes taking out the criminals using stealth pretty damn interesting…and stylish as hell. The fighting moves are so fluid they must have spent several years on this before release. Using the voice actors from the cartoon series just makes like walking through a movie.
The play, as far as how you figure things out, reminds me of Tomb raider, only a little more relevant to the story. I’m just getting started though.

I wish I had a PS3, if only to play Infamous.
I can think of a few games that might be better than this in the foreseeable future, i.e. Modern Warfare 2.

Also, the water is awesome.

It also depends which difficulty your playing it. Playing on “normal” isn’t fun, its too easy, you know when the enemies hit you with their “alerts” over their head. So I had to play it on HARD. Holy hell is it hard!
I just beat one of the Bosses, BANE. It took me almost an hr to beat him. Right when you think you beat the boss, Joker sends in reinforcements, make that two waves of reinforcements.
Tip for Bane I found helpful
You can evade his punches by going under his legs and continue combo.
Draw enemies to you while Bane is charging towards (or throwing pieces of rubble) at you so he can knock out the enemies and you can finish them off.
Logic problem: Bane should be heavier than his stats if he is that damn big making the Earth shake with each step. He should be weighing well over 500lbs the way they made him in the game but they have his stats as just over 350 at like 6’7". I know people who are 350lbs who lift and they aren’t creating Earthquakes on the way to the water fountain.

Also, Bane is a stronger mother fucker WITHOUT Venom. He was born in prison and killed inmates before he was 10. The game list his stats at 140lbs in human form. I call Shenanigans.
And Killer Croc made Bane look like a bitch. Which makes no sense. Both are bad asses, but Bane broke Batman’s BACK! Everything else in the game was perfect, but Bane didn’t get enough due. Also, I found clayface in the game. I hope someone else did too.

No no no guys you are BOTH wrong.
Bane is way over bloated… HA![/quote]
I’m just glad they didn’t make these characters weak looking. Even the inmates look like NPC heavyweights.

It took me a minute to figure that one out. At first I was like “who the hell in the Batman’s Rogue Gallery can shape shift?” I checked one of the riddles and then came back to him and it hit me.
On a second note, did you find Ras Al Ghul? If you haven’t then I won’t spoil it for you.
I love that Batman is a big, hulking dude in this game but he moves like a ninja, like he’s always been in the comics. Screw Christian Bale . I think this game’s version of Bane is based on the one from the movie Batman and Robin, unfortunately.
