You have no wit, orion, and you are not even very agile with words.

Apparently I need neither too see you for what you are.

Look, you even impress Mick28!

You must be doing something right!

Here, let’s do it your way, good doctor. Let’s put it to a vote.

Who believes democracy is always right?

I hope this is a joke.

If not the sheer irony will cost me two years of my life.

edit:

Unless of course the irony was intended…

Mhmmmm…

intended.

Oh darn Horion you’ve helped add yet one more member to the growing list that knows you’re an austrian ass clown (AAC for short).

Cue old Elton John song: “Making friends for all the world to see…”

Did it ever occur to you that you taint any cause you join?

Mr. Skepticks, by your very attempt to assert I am wrong you prove the human action axiom correct.

Now, use some reasoning skills and go from there…ready, go!

“Reasoning skills”? This must be a term subject to your shifting definitions, since you would not know them any more than you would now of the “natural elite” of which you speak.
What in the wide world would make you think that I would waste my time with you, engage in pointless polemics, on your juvenile terms, and do so, so that you may have the puerile pleasure of of an adolescent admiring his own excreta?

Now don’t take this in the wrong way. It is not that you are beneath contempt; no, I would place you and your impoverished philosophy somewhere between contempt and not taking any notice at all. I do not know where Thunderbolt finds the patience to soundly refute and disarticulate you; this is an attribute which I do not have.

Now about this problem you and that other ninny, Orion seem to have. I will take democracy still, over what you have to offer. Even when it produces amateur clowns like Barney Frank and Ron Paul, and professional clowns like your new senator, Mr. Franken. Democracy doesn’t have to be right all the time,ti does not have to be good, or noble. It just has to be the best alternative around, as Winston Churchill said, “Democracy is the worst form of government, excepting all others.”

Now,off to Uruguay with you![/quote]

What if we could select the natural elite? How about giving individuals a number of votes based on tax bracket? The more you personally fund the gov’t, the more votes you get? What about allowing individuals to buy votes by paying more tax? The productive and those that actually care enough to sacrafice some hard earned dough, get a larger % of vote. All of those sucking off the teet of the federal gov’t still get a vote, but politicians aren’t able to create a dependant majority that can steel from the minority.

You wouldn’t even need to add many votes. You could cap additional votes at two and it would dramatically change the demographic that would need to be promised free stuff in exchange for thier votes.

I have an even easier solution. What if the FCC ordered FOX to air the final episode of American Idol on election night? That would surely eliminate some of the natural non-elite.

Glen Beck is another retarted Republican, I could chew him up and I am just a Contractor that lives on the west coast

Lets face it, American politics has been amateur hour for a while now, and this last presidential and congressional election just confirms this belief a hundred fold. When applied through the filter of logic and history, what the current administration is doing makes almost no sense whatsoever, and no one with an understanding of history and economic systems can, with intellectual honesty, claim that they are doing what is best for the country.

The problem is a couple of mentalities.

The first is that “all those politicians are corrupt… except for my congressman”, which is why so many of these walking intellectual voids such are Barney Frank continue to be re-elected.

The second, is the “I get all the information I need on politics from Entertainment tonight” mentality. This second mentality is far more dangerous, when people glance at a few soundbites rather than doing any real research, we end up electing people such as our current president who has no experience and who’s education, associates, and actions all point to him being a strong believer in an anti-capitalist, pro-socialist society.

Our education system has failed to teach us the dangers and numerous failures of socialist ideals, and as a result many voters can tell you who won the last 3 seasons of American Idol, but couldn’t come close to defining concepts such as socialism or fascism.

The final mentality that is a growing problem in this country is wealth envy. Instead of being inspired to work harder and improve their standard of living, so many people want to use the police power of government to take away resources from people who have worked hard for those resources, and to give those resources to people who refuse to work more than 40 hours a week, if at all, or get out from in front of the TV and learn a more profitable skill.

Any first term psychology major can tell you that if you want to see more of a behavior, you reward it, and to see less of a behavior you punish it. It’s time that we kick these bums out of office, cut the multitude of artificial growth restrictions on businesses, and stop pandering to the parasite class by reducing their benefits to the point where they are forced to go out and earn their own keep, and possibly even work hard and become a successful and productive member of society.

Listen to that you tube I posted, I am not claiming to be anything I am not. I just think Glen Beck is a dim wit if he can not understand what he is criticizing. We have a UBC (uniform building code) already. The customer should know the energy efficiency of the house they are buying. It would make new houses and houses that people spent time and money on worth more. Living in AZ I see first hand the fighting going on about water rights in the Colorado river. We can not ignore these problems because of Glen Beckâ??s lack of understanding
