I am talking about cutting taxes for the top one percent, Here in Az they are talking about raising taxes to cover there budget short fall , but amazingly the top wage eaners get a tax cut . It is amazing that Republicans see that as a way to generate money

(And don’t the rest of you go trying to tell me that this country isn’t a democracy. It is whether is it a democratic republic or absolute democracy, etc. The end result is the same.)
Government empowered by majority rule cannot last for the simple fact that the natural elite are not a part of the majority. …
…and you, I presume, have some method of finding this “natural elite.”
Two days and Lifty has not found in his protophilosophy a method to reveal this “natural elite.”
I guess it will remain forever unseen.
Yup, by you, because you will never pick up one of Rothbards books.
You can blame him for willful ignorance though if that is what gets you through the night.

There is nothing amazing about it, the steeper a progressive tax is the lower is the disposible income of the working poor.
To tax the most productive people saps so much strength out of the economy that the increase in purchasing power for poor people cannot make up for their loss.
Oh c’mon: Pittbulll and those like him believe that Atlas has limitless blood to be drawn. Who is anyone to say they are wrong and at some point taxation will reduce or eliminate the production of those producing goods and services valuable enough that others willingly choose to pay large amounts for them, thus putting them in high income brackets and making them thieves on society.
I think Pittbulll is still mad that – despite taking no risk and doing no work – he isn’t getting a 50% cut of any profits earned on lending made possible from his bank deposits. He is entitled! His consensual transaction in depositing the money has resulted in him being robbed, by being paid only the mutually-agreed interest rate. I can scarcely even type this post, as the keyboard is flooded with my tears at his plight.

I am not mad at anything, and I haven’t a clue what you are talking about, I think you are referring to my post about AZ increasing taxes to cover a budget short fall but in doing so giving the top 1% a tax break . Am I correct

Another ideosyncratic “axiom?”
There is a blessed “elite,” but only you can see and choose them, and no one else can?

It was only a few days ago that you were saying it was robbery that the banks didn’t pay depositors half the money earned from loans made possible from their deposits. As well as other complaints about consensual transactions that didn’t meet your ideas of what is fair, and which you wanted the government to prohibit, or force different terms.
You really don’t remember?
And on taxation, you’re not of the view that those, whether companies or individuals, that earn high incomes should pay more taxes than they presently do? You are not of the view that such changes in taxation would benefit everyone else?

That is one reason they put a quote button on these threads, that way it makes it easier to follow the conversation Please dig up that post and I will try to explain what I meant, Thanks.
Again I am not sure what you mean about taxation would benefit every one else, my feelings on taxation is that is a necessary evil

More sophomoric crap. From Saint Rothbard? Who says you are an atheist?
No, I prefer “equal under the law.”
And yes, emphatically, I would take democracy.
You can take a hike, Fraud.

Oh, please tell me, what makes me a fraud?
Am I not the group of stars I claim to be, nor the mythical hunter?
Actually, Orion comes from “Master of Orion” which is a computer game, but I never pretended to be a game either?
And how does that change that you are intellectually lazy and hide that behind smug contempt?
LIFTICVSMAXIMVS wrote:
Mr. Skepticks, by your very attempt to assert I am wrong you prove the human action axiom correct.
Now, use some reasoning skills and go from there…ready, go!
“Reasoning skills”? This must be a term subject to your shifting definitions, since you would not know them any more than you would now of the “natural elite” of which you speak.
What in the wide world would make you think that I would waste my time with you, engage in pointless polemics, on your juvenile terms, and do so, so that you may have the puerile pleasure of of an adolescent admiring his own excreta?
Now don’t take this in the wrong way. It is not that you are beneath contempt; no, I would place you and your impoverished philosophy somewhere between contempt and not taking any notice at all. I do not know where Thunderbolt finds the patience to soundly refute and disarticulate you; this is an attribute which I do not have.
Now about this problem you and that other ninny, Orion seem to have. I will take democracy still, over what you have to offer. Even when it produces amateur clowns like Barney Frank and Ron Paul, and professional clowns like your new senator, Mr. Franken. Democracy doesn’t have to be right all the time,ti does not have to be good, or noble. It just has to be the best alternative around, as Winston Churchill said, “Democracy is the worst form of government, excepting all others.”
