Thanks Alpha got along long long way to go but im slowly creeping up on you lol at this pace another 20 years and I should be good… so if you could not make any progress between now and then would be grat buddy.
30 maybe 45 minutes of sleep last night. Felt like a bag of smashed assholes. Still managed a big PR. This is 610 for a relatively easy triple against a very light reverse bands. Bands were not even touching the bar at the top and maybe taking 80 pounds out of the bottom. So this is a 10 pound total increase PR on this move and done with really light bands. If had spotters I would have went for 5.
Also got a pair of the Iron Rebels Rhinos and won’t lie I’m in love and then some. Brittany was awesome today mind the mishap there at the beginning. She wrapped my knees and all today. Zero accessories going to sleep.
Heavy Triceps Day
Dips: Didn’t have side step so first reps were from dead stop made the move very hard. Much worse lol.
Body 3 sets of 10, 1 set of 20
50 for 16
75 for 8
100 for 2.5
75 for 8
Close Bench:
135 for 4 sets of 20
Pull Ups:
5 sets of 6
Band Row:
4 sets of 15

Ok so Recap of the week have been kinda busy so bear with me on a slightly longer than normal entry.
October 2nd- Front Squat and Lower Body with Sam Byrd. He is prepping up for GPC so he is finally back to lifting so I have a feeling I will be front Squating alot more often again.
Front Squats:
Bar for 10
135 for 2 sets of 8
225 for 1 set of 8
315 for 1 set of 5
365 for 1 set of 5- tied old belt and sleeves PR
385 for 1 set of 5- 20lbs 5 rep PR and was prertty easy.

Barbell Lunges:
Bar for 24 steps
135 for 3 sets of 24 steps. Ass and lower quads were and still are fried almost 4 days later.
October 3rd- Optional Bench day. Was feeling really good and wanted to go heafvy and see what I was good for but half way through all my sets I relaized that all my partners bailed and I had no spot or hand off ![]()
Bench Press Self Hand Off:
Worked up to a realtively easy 340 for a single. Ties my all time bench so with a spotter and hand off maybe 350-360.
- Girl friend starting spotting-
280 for 2 sets of 8, 1 set of 9- PR
- YouTube
230 for 16
Band Pull Aparts and Went inside.
October 4th- I honeslty felt horrible. Very tired and very sore from the session with Sam. I was supposed to do CAT Squats but my knees were just killing me from the Hack Squats 2 days before. So to relieve the pain I went head and wrapped my knees. Only thing is when I wrap my knees I go heavy. So decided to just work up to a heavy 5 and see how everything was coming and I am more than pleased. Also note I am walking everything out right now as well. Steve Goggins is hosting a USPA meet close to home I have been invited to and am considering do it. Only say this because walking out def lowers the numbers I can put up so I feel even stronger out of a mono.
Back Squats:
135 for 2 sets of 8
225 for 2 sets of 5
315 for 3 sets of 5
405 for 1 set of 5
505 for 1 single paused- This was a warmup but is a 5lbs PR on a paused squat.
560 for 1 set of 5. Pretty Easy 20 pound PR. After seeing this I am certain that 700 wrapped for a single will fall by my birth day.
GHRs: 3 sets of 20 with body
Ok so as you can tell by the inactivity of the log I took a week off. A friend from Kentucky asked me to come up and compete yesterday in a unsanctioned meet being held for his niece who is battling cancer. All the profits from the meet and donations went to her family to help try and pay for her treatment and gas back and forth to the hospital for Chemo Treatments. This was completely out of the blue and had zero prep time for it but had some people offer me between 1-5 dollars for every pound I squat over 600. I have only done this twice both never in a meet and one to questionable depth. So, I was nervous but figured I had to give it a shot.
Day of weigh ins 230 in my shorts, tee shirt, and chucks. Which puts me at 228 had I stripped down. Opened with 580 squat, 315 bench, and 550 pull. All squats were in a power rack so they had to be walked out. Have very little practice walking out literally only 2 weeks of doing it lol. My next concern was the Judge. I have only done SPF meets before and we all know the sterotype of their squat judgments. This judge is a very strict USPA Certified and active judge. So I asked him to call me up when I hit depth. Luckily I had zero issue and was sinking a good inch lower even after his call.
Warm UPS were feeling great literally threw 510 off my back. Loaded up 580 no idea what happened but, hit the hole came half way up and grinded pretty hard. This really dishearten me that I might not even raise a single dollar. But, went 605 next attempt praying I would at least make the minimum donation. Hit the hole and shot out like a warm up. Was the easiest 600 squat I have ever done. Called 625 next. I was pretty sure I had 630-635 but didn’t wanna miss out out on big donation for a by missing. Took it out and focused on nothing but head up and elbows down and literally smoked it but had one of the most violent black outs I ever have had Was a awesome lift in my opinion. It raised $300 for the little girl. 40lbs meet pr 25lbs lifetime pr.
Bench went sub par as always. 315 smoked. 340 easy 3 whites. Was little slow but much smoother than when I did it at nationals. Calling it a tech PR. 350 missed just where triceps carry over. 350 is my goal for Dec 6th so I am going to go on a Board Press and Dip attack for the next 6 weeks.
Deadlift I was pretty spent and lower back was very tight so on a whim switched back to Sumo. Opened with 550 smoked it. 585 killed it with a small little grind passed my knees then locked out strong. Followed by a little noodle legs. Called it there as that was a 10lbs meet PR and wanted to try not to obliterate my self completely since I only have 7 weeks til my official meet. Ended the day with a unofficial 1550. Which is my goal for December. So peaked and really pushing my pull I strongly feel that will be a pretty easy day. Could even possibly close in on 1580 to 1600 @220.
This was a amazing meet and the most fun I have ever had lifting. Hit big numbers, met new and saw a ton of old friends, and then ate a lot of cake and BBQ. Was a great day.
Awesome Job brother! Congrats!
Good shit, bro. I guess we were right when we guessed 345 lol.
Thanks guys. Yeah Quincy for sure I would have had 345 for sure. 350 was just a bit to much. Oh well better luck in December. If I can match this performance in December at 220 again Ill officailly be “Elite”. Then I move on to USPA and attempt to get their Elite number of 1640 I believe.

That’s solid! Pausing at the end of a set is much harder than at the beginning.
Worked up to what was supposed to be a hard second attempt weight for my meet on the 22nd. Last heavy deadlift day and second to last heavy Squat. Worked up to a semi easy 600 squat. I got loose in my back and tried to bury the weight so there was no question on depth. Then after we deadlifted and hit 585 raw pretty easy and then strapped in and murdered 600. Thats technically a PR.
Yesterday hit a nice milestone and motivation for me. Started this log when i first squat 600 and yesterday for the first time I doubled 605 with a rep left in the tank I believe. It would have been a monstrous grind but none the less. Competing on the 22nd in Memphis and looking to hit 610-630 at 198. Massive cut but with my coach back walking me through it I am more than confident.
The strength definitely looks like it is there. I just looks like your body needs to get used to having that kind of weight on it. Great job man, I have no doubt you will hit those numbers! Good luck on the cut, always fun…

Yeah agreed fully. I am having some weird knee lock and unlocking as well as waist shifting before the decent. Also getting some weird wobble on the way down. I agree with you I think it is just a shock to my system. Was high on the first rep to which i didnt like but, was pleased with the second one. Honestly cant wait for this week and half off to rest up. I honestly feel incredibly run down right now. Thank you as always.
Last Thursday I took my last heavy overload in attempts to get acclimated to a slightly heavier weight than I will be handling at the meet. I worked up to a very light reverse band set up to where the bands didn’t touch the bar at all in lat 4-5 inches of the move so I had to honestly feel the weight. Took off roughly 60lbs in the bottom. Was beyond easy I worked up to 670 and smoked it could have worked up to about 720 had I felt like grinding pretty hard but def was not the point of this here. Feeling very motivated for the meet this weekend in Memphis.
I’m excited to see what you total man, Keep us posted!
